Reckon your doing the right thing there tbh. Its not a bad game, but definitely not something I'll be wanting to hang onto with the games coming out. Basically nothing else to do, so figured I'd go for it.

I haven't got it yet but from what I've seen on trailers it looks pretty good. Certainly a lot better than the rugby world cup game. Nearly bought it but thankfully played the demo before hand. Awful game.

We already have a Wii and was wondering if its worth the £250+ as an upgrade.

As much as I like the new Fifa game, it does annoy me some what how halve are ended i.e. we will just give the A.I one more attack no matter how much injury time is added. Also when did the pens come so hard to score? Think I might have to knock down the difficulty to professional from World Class because it is a lot harder.

I had no idea how to take pens until I had a go in the arena. Press L2 to bring up a target circle to help get use to it.

I love FIFA. Had a few great games tonight, won about as many as I lost.

Couple of things annoying me. Namely Karim Benzema and his like. In real life he's a bit pants really. Plays for Madrid but has never really convinced anyone. On FIFA though he's a tank, he's unstoppable. There are several other strikers like him who can literally bully their way down the field despite several perfectly timed challenges going in.

Another annoyance is headers and battles for the ball. Nine times out of ten they are won by the player with the higher rating. A challenge between Jonny 'Mad dog' Heitinga and Luka Modric the ballerina will be won by Modric. A header in midfield between Rodwell and Messi will be won by Messi.

First impressions of FIFA are good.

The defending isn't as tricky as I expected, although I haven't yet been brave enough to move from Professional or play any randoms online so I could well have been lulled into a false sense of security.

The methods of scoring seem a bit samey, but that may well be because of the level I'm playing on, it's a bit too easy to undo teams with through balls but I guess at World Class it'll take a lot more to break them down.

I can see me investing some time in Ultimate Team too, takes me back to the days of Panini sticker books!

I have the RWC game and although I enjoy it, I think the fact that there are no clubs on it means that I might get the Jonah Lomu game after recommendations on here. Does anybody know where the cheapest price is likely to be?

Starting to like Fifa on higher levels now. After the initial frustration that came, I've stuck at it and generally tried to play patiently and look for the spaces. I won the Highlands cup before which brought tears to my eyes. For some reason the game seems to be more 'skill friendly' against the CPU. I've had a right laugh skinning them repeatedly with Hulk and co.

Still, it wouldn't be a Fifa post without a moan. Was playing before, the CPU played a lobbed through ball, Pepe was running to intercept it, then literally just slid on to his backside with his leg in the air. Couldn't understand it at all as I was just running to try and catch the through ball. They scored from it of course (do the CPU miss on world class?!) but I managed to come back and win.

For those who play FUT, what are your teams and what's the theme? Mine's a Porto theme, but I've kept a few players because they're class to play with.

I've just played against a friend online for the first time. The overall gameplay tbh seemed a hell of a lot different to playing the cpu. And maybe it's just me but at times players just didn't seem to have very good reactions at all, falling over each other... not going for the ball when it's practically next to them and various other little things. Maybe its just something I need to get used to but for now I'm staying away from online play as I don't think it would do my temper any good at all

Received a text from Gamestation today telling me that my pre-ordered copy of Batman won't be in till Sat due to stock shortages across the country. However, they will have the more expensive special edition in on Friday.

Maybe I'm being cynical but I'm sensing a con.

It's not a con, Warner have royally fecked up with the stock. You're lucky it'll be in Saturday because some retailers aren't getting it until a week after release.

Why is it, when you play online, do you always feel cheated?

I've just had a match, it came up with 1 minute extra time, during which I was attacking, I created two chances, missed them, then he gets a goal kick. Lumps it up field, it gets a bit gritty and tackles are flying for about two minutes real time, still no final whistle. It works out he gets a corner, he doesn't score but I clear it expecting the final whistle, nothing, he passes it down field, plays one of the passes that can't be defended and scored. I mean, it was like five minutes real time of extra time, it's bull.

Five minutes? No way. That's a whole half. I find hoofing it off the pitch helps when it's deep into added time.

I havent started FUT as im gunna wait till im home but i just finished my 1st season with Chelsea won the league on goal difference. Beat Arsenal who came 2nd 0-1 3rd to last game

Five was maybe exaggerated, but if it was to have been in general play, it would have been about 25 minutes of the half. Two attacks from me, three from him, a set piece and a fair bit of battle in midfield. I thought 'because it's a draw, does the game just not end?' but it soon ended, as I kicked off after the goal.

Just another thing, people say this new tactical defending has stopped people mashing X and O, but it hasn't, this lad spent the entire game holding it with sprint - just shows how pointless the stamina stat is.

I agree that stamina could do with having more of an impact if you live on it. But if they are sprinting in defense it would make taking them on rather easy. A few changes of direction and they would be 20 yards away from you. If they are doing what most do and holding R1 to have a team mate contain you as well, they must be leaving other players open. I often find in midfield they draw their centre backs in to swamp you and you can just hack it forward with a long pass and you'll be clear on goal.
