Ultimate Team is so buggy, currently stuck in a menu that is impossible to get out of, and have to turn the playstation off. This game needs a big patch.

I think the AI defending is shoddy. Defenders sometimes don't stick with stick with their man which results in people putting a simple chipped through ball to get in on goal.

Fair enough. I wasn't gonna bother with it because it's pretty hard to get me off Fifa. Probably wouldn't part with over £30 for it anyway.

Hi people, quick question which may have been answered before but, i was thinking of getting my two boys a xbox for xmas and read that the elite has built in wifi, does that mean i dont need to buy a wireless network adapter for it if i go for the elite?

Correct. It will pick up your wireless network automatically.

I saw it at £32 at Tesco's but the closest one to me is at the other side of Leeds so I got mine from Sainsburys for £35. Gonna have my first go once the Liverpool/scum game has finished!

Pretty enjoyable. Think what the RL game could have been with a bit of effort and your about there.

If you look at the start, Lucas is never in contact with him, when he changes direction, the gap is evident. When you watch it from all angles it makes it a bit clearer. The ref didn't give the advantage thing either which usually happens with 'tugs'.

Slide tackles in the box on the new fifa are crap.

Twice I've won the ball prefectly, twice I have given away penalties and received a red.

I haven't conceded many pens but when I have they have been nonsense

Ive conceded but been given a few penaltys inmy season. Like the rest of the game alot more realistic than previous when i can go through seasons without a penalty.

Battlefield 3 is a cert, but after some initial uncertainty FIFA 12 seems to be getting some good press from you guys. Anyone strongly advise against my rushing out to buy it tomorrow?

If you are impatient and expect to win games straight away, don't buy it. If you are prepapred to put plenty of hours into learning how to play the game, then buy it straight away.

Your xbox returning seems to be well timed. EA have started patching the game-killing exploits out, PC and PS3 are done.

They had allowed you to press back to control the keeper and let the AI do defending for you. Which meant people playing against the AI online when they had the ball. Thankfully they are taking it back out.

This FIFA is loads harder than previous games. The new defending is hard but much more realistic and very satisfying once you get the hang of it. I am playing on professional on 12 instead of legendary on 11. I'm 5th in the Premier league with Eveton on career mode.

Am I the only one getting excited for Uncharted 3? 2nd of November can't come quick enough.

This new 'precision dribbling', what's it all about?

I've been using it to hold up the ball with my forward Falcao, then when my midfield runners break through, I use the R1 pass (back heels, etc.) to play them in. Is this what it's supposed to be used for? Saddened made it out as though it vastly improved 1v1 situations when facing them up, but I don't think I've ever used it other than in tight situations with my lone striker.

Was just about to post practically the same thing. I can't tell the difference between simply holding L2 and moving around and using the 'precision dribble' with both L2 and R2. What exactly does it do?

I was considering getting it, but held back. Think I might just save my pennies for Skyrim. I've got a pile of games which I haven't even completed yet as well which I want to get through.

L2 and R2 is skilled dribbling. You are slower but can turn more easily and move in pretty much any direction you like, for example backwards. Useful for moving sideways across the pitch, stepping round players down the wing and moving back away from players who are containing you.

L1 is precision dribbling, where the player moves really slowly but keeps control of it so it's easier to avoid being tackled as you can shield the ball. As Roddy mentioned it's useful for holding the ball up to allow players to make runs or when you receive the ball under pressure. Rather than simply running into the opposition and being tackled straight away like you would have on FIFA 11, you can keep the ball until you can work a space to pass it. It's also useful on the wing in a one on one situation. If you hold it the AI will stop and face you and you can either use a skill move or just flick the ball with the right stick, then sprint to go past them. Works very well online if you sprint, then hold L1, change direction once or twice then sprint again human defenders very often over run you by miles.
