I won't be buying Battlefield, I have better things to do than run for 30 seconds across a map to find some enemies before killing 1, getting sniped, and returning to the spawn that is miles away.

You could always try spawning on your squad members (unless your squad is so hopeless that the 3 of them can't stay alive long enough).

B3 for me, the Beta has really whetted my appetite for it. What with the release of Batman next week & Battlefield the week after, it should make for some late nights in the next few weeks.

Just got to the january transfer deadline and one of my better players was sold without even asking me to accept or reject the offer! WTF! he wasn't listed for sale, I'd had lots of previous offers that I'd declined. And he was sold for less than those. I just dont understand whats happened. I reverted to my last save game before the transfer deadline 3 times but it kept happening. This happened to anyone else?

Decided to get Fifa. Got used to the defending buttons now but it can be hard to be patient with it. The Keep-ball from the CPU is a bit stupid, sticks like Messi. My main problem is attacking. I think I've scored 4 goals in 12 matches or so!

Am I the only one who hasn't played a single game against the AI on Fifa?

No. I find it utterley boring playing against the computer.

I'm the opposite. I lost all love for online play the moment I had a goal kick intercepted way back on Fifa 08 or something. I'll play with my mates where we have 'fair play' rules, i.e. no being a bell on goal kicks and a few others, and I enjoy that, but playing against scrubs from all over the world just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Playing against the AI is a lot more challenging than real players in 12 imo. One of the reasons I like it more. Also the sense of achievement with career mode and stuff.

I used to love playing fifa online but the quitters and abusers ruined it for me. Some people I used to play against online seemed to take it far to seriously. kind of took the fun out of it.

oh and it winds me up beyond belief when people force you to watch replays and spend ages celebrating aswell so its better for my health and anger to stay away...

So you complain when you foolishly try a pass to your right/left back and the striker is stood there and scores?







I can't believe people are doing this. I swear this originates from ISS 98, when the attacker couldn't prevent the defence making the pass. And people STILL do it!

I love making someone quit. It is a true humilation, far better than a 1-0 victory.

the thing would be though I would never quit when getting beaten. And very often after taking a beating I'd play a rematch and start winning and they'd just pull the plug. Im not sure how this fifa deals with cut connections and stuff but often I'd get nothing in past versions. I usually play as wigan ath aswell yet people still insist on playing as barca. They'd usually be the first to quit after me going a goal ahead mind.

If you played as Wigan, you would only play teams at the same level in Head to Head Seasons. I assume Wigan are 3.5 stars, so you would be paired with some crap sides.

If you concede within the first 5 minutes, you can get away without punishment. Beyond 30 minutes, and you will definitely be credited with the loss. Probably much sooner.

I wish you could have a rematch against someone, but plenty of times when playing late at night at 4 stars I have "drawn" the same bloke 3 games in a row.

Unashamedly, I have quit 5-6 games out of 60 when down 3-0, only because I want to concede and move onto the next game in the season, which is perfectly within my rights IMO. I don't want to cheat him out of the win, but I don't want to waste my time.

Is head to head seasons new? To be perfectly honest when I've played previous fifa's online I'd just play quick head to head match up's so it was never paired as far as stars are concerned. It seems a much better/fairer way of doing things though.

It is new mate, and it is awesome. You start in Division 10 and each season consists of 9 games. You attempt to get 10 points to stay up, or 16 points for promotion. Not sure if these points totals change from season to season, they might do. You select any team you want, and you are paired with a team of the same rank and a similar division. I'm in Division 6 and struggling to go up at the moment, after pretty much crusing through the other divisions. Avoided relegation narrowly in my last season and need to win my next game to stay up again. Record stands at about 31-7-29 which is woeful compared to my Fifa 10 record, the last Fifa I played regularly.

It annoyed me because I had pressed it because I was mashing X to skip the replay, which resulted in the goal kick being taken too quickly and he was stood in front of my defender.

Still, most people I've played online against are bells. Quitters are a huge problem, then there's the Real Madrid/Barcelona tvats, then there's the idiots that do things like steam to the edge of your box on goal kicks. I can't understand why they don't just add the PES thing in, so they're stuck near halfway and can't get near.

Finally played my first online game of Ultimate Team tonight. Utterly brilliant experience. Very well matched sides and for once no messing about. I took a 2-0 lead and was doing really well. I then got the jitters and he came flooding back. It was 2-2 at full time but after 20 minutes of extra time I made it 3-2. Stayed like that till the last kick and he got a complete fluke with a headed clearance from a corner ping ponging about until he toe poked it in. I was having palpatations by that stage. I managed to win the penalties though.

It's a far better buzz to win online against someone real that it is to beat the AI. Plus when you concede, you can appreciate why

Gonna get the new Pro today, looking forward to it!

Seen it in Tesco for around £31/£32. Think I might wait a while before I buy it, I've just bought NBA 2K12 as well so I have to justify buying that and Fifa before buying PES. Will probably get it after Christmas.

Is NBA any good?

Has anyone got that Jonah Lomu game? Thoughts?
