This is why you're always watching the wheels of cars at the side of the road. First time they move, you brake like mad! I suppose that knowledge only comes with experience though...
Hope the injuries weren't too bad though, and that the driver got nailed for it.

To be fair whilst obviously nowhere near as safe as a modern car te DS was decades ahead of its time in this respect (as well as in many other areas) with crumple zones and I believe the engine is designed to go under the car in a crash |
