Your capacity to make yourself look ignorant knows no bounds. The EU is trying to clamp down on tax avoidance. It’s also looking quite closely at the malign effect of big media monopolies. So, If these people can get Britain out of the EU, their companies will be out of its jurisdiction. Also … the workers’ rights that the EU has championed will be eroded once the UK leaves. These off-shore patriots avoid paying their fair share of tax while persecuting the poor in their rag.

You are right, in that their wealth means that they will be unaffected personally, whether we are in or out.
However, they use their wealth and influence to drive their own agenda and try to sway public opinion in favour of their preferred Brexit outcome.

Finding any balanced media output is becoming increasingly difficult and most people just surround themselves with that, which they want to hear.

I agree, every media outlet has its own agenda - the BBC is very pro-remain as is Channel 4 - their influence is far greater than anything the Barclay Brothers can muster.

That would include the BBC's Andrew Neil, Chairman of The Spectator. Neil has been widely seen as promoting a pro-Brexit line in his role as a key BBC political presenter and also been accused by journalist Carole Cadwalldr of breaching the BBC’s code by using his Twitter account to rubbish her vital investigative journalism into illegal activity by the Leave campaigns – journalism that recently won her the Orwell Prize.

I believe the specifics were that he joined with Aaron Banks in labelling her a 'crazy cat lady' for her tenacity in reporting on the dodgy dealings of Farage, Banks and Cambridge Analytica; journalism which turned out to be wholly true and as you say, award-winning.

The BBC is an interesting conundrum - it's comedy and arts output probably is pro-Remain, but it's news and current affairs is heavily biased towards the Tory government, staffed as it is by former spads planted by David Cameron. The revolving door he created between BBC News and No 10 remains in full effect to this day.

Funny how people see things differently. As someone who is pro brexit I see the BBC and ITV for that matter as being biased towards remain. Not saying who is right or wrong just strange how we see the same thing in opposite ways. However I don't think anyone can despute that the Mash Report is unashamedly left wing and rabidly remain!

The BBC and most British television news is biased towards the recent and the sensational over the important. But they do, at least, usually report facts, which is why I imagine Brexiteers feel they are biased against them.

No arguments from me about the Mash Report - as I said, most of the comedy output is left wing and remain; which probably reflects the attitude of most people involved in art and entertainment.

I fail to see how anyone can label the BBC as pro-Remain; they are effectively stenographers for the Government of the day, and have probably played the biggest part in legitimising the odious nutjobs who sold Brexit to us in the first place, based on their ridiculous need to create 'balance' in every discussion. Not to mention that funny, posh, tousle-haired 'Boris' is largely a BBC creation.

And Nigel Lawson spouting his climate denying bollox on Radio 4, contradicting 95% of peer reviewed science, yet not being challenged on his views.

Indeed - they've got significant form with this stuff - giving a platform to racists, far-right nutjobs, climate deniers and various contrarians, all in the name of balance; utterly ignoring the fact that in some instances, balance is not required.

Try a counter argument. Put some opposing facts forward. There's plenty in there to dispute. Don't wait for someone with more balls than yourself then just agree with them.

I mentioned an article by the Spectator and it was suggested that they were biased because the publication is owned by the Barclay Brothers and it didn't suit the remain agenda but a report by the left leaning remain-oriented Guardian should be seen as the truth - you can't have it both ways!!

And on the subject of the media, one aspect where there is definite bias, is the blanket coverage of the withes of the DUP and absolutely nothing whatsoever with the other "half" of the N. Ireland assembly.
I know that Sinn Fein dont take up their seats in Parliament but, I've yet to hear ANY comment from the media on the "other side" of the N. Irish population.

He has no chance in my view - he will get all the Tories except possibly Grieve - if the other side want the deal to go through then they need to put up and vote. The protestants are a minority in Ireland and sooner or later it will become one Catholic run state - the breeding numbers alone for tell the future.

The 21 will come across the likes of Letwin have already said they will support the deal - he will can all the Tory support including the ERG but he needs 10 Labour MPs to support - not sure he has that yet. Plenty have shown a willing to defy Corbyn in the past - let's see.

If Labour block it it is suicide on their part.

If Labour allow it through, they're done for a few years - they have to find a way to prevent Boris's deal, either with a GE, which I believe at the moment hey would lose or, with a "peoples vote" which if it went against the government COULD benefit Labour. Having said that, there could be huge difficulties if there was and kind of "win" for "remain" - I predict a riot.

Labour are done as long as Lansman runs the party and he fronts it with his puppets Corbyn & McDonald - a further vote simply undermines the previous vote and there isn't a ground swell of public opinion demanding another vote - only remainers who hated losing the last time. I don't see a lot of leavers saying we got it wrong give us another go.
