What is it with some stupid drivers who think that they can drive at night without putting their car lights on ? Just ignorance or stupidity ?

I drive a car designed for the ignorant and stupid, it's lights come on automatically. In my case it's dementia.

Are you joking about the dementia ?

Most times its forgetfulness, not checking, I followed someone out of a Morrisons last night with their lights off, they drove off up the main road with them off - in all seriousness in a lot of city centres you as a driver don't need them , thats not to excuse the illegal behaviour but it partly explains why its not immediately apparent when someone forgets.

Do what the Swedes do and drive with your lights during the day, especially in country areas.

The last car I had saw the dashboard lights come on automatically, even when the headlights weren't on. I must be honest, it threw me the first time I drove at night.

It would also be nice if some motorists didn't consider signalling that they're about to turn as an optional extra.

I have had that happen to me on numerous occasions and they don't give a chuff either the smug......

I'm more bothered about the s that think a little mist or rain is an excuse to put their fog lights on and dazzle anyone behind them.

In Bradford, our priority worries are cars treating red traffic lights as "not applicable", and morons overtaking whole lines of queuing traffic at speed down the wrong side of the road, then cutting across the front to turn left or go ahead.

Approximately half the cars in Bradford sensibly cut down on fuel wastage by only switching on half the front and rear lights.

I apologise if I caused offence, I know that I should try harder to be understanding of the ways of the 21st century.

Up until this morning I couldn't give a f***, but I have just done my companies 'Equality and Diversity Awareness' online training and I fell like a new man.

You fell? May be a claim there.

Speaking of training I recently completed my companies Business Continuity Training. As part of it we were expected to know and learn what certain procedures were. This one caught my eye:

I haven't had my lights on at 4 o'clock all Summer so I'll be damned if I'm putting them on now.

Not a bad guess but more likely an ex-US Navy officer. It's an American company and the people they employ in areas such as that and security tend to be ex-military.

Round my way you they don't even need a bit of mist or rain to put their fog lights on. It seems to be in the code of boy racing that they drive around with the fog lights on. Really gets on my t1ts.

No offence caused at all so no need to apologise about it.

Most drivers on the road are too stupid to be allowed to drive but then the driving "test" is dumbed down to the intellectual equivalent of an amoeba.
Sweeping generalisation I know but then when you see, hear listen to the things that "qualified" drivers do you have to shake your head.
If a similar kind of attitude happened in a business environment there would be people sacked on the spot for putting people lives at risk and the business.
To all those who complain that the police are too thorough with motorists all I can say is tough, at least they are doing something to curb incompetent morons who believe speed limits, lane discipline etc are not for them.

My pet bug bear! Why do people think it's ok to sit in their car with their foot on the brake light so it's blasting into my eyes?? Youve got a hand brake.....bloody well use it!
