Don't most people put a digital clock/watch in 24hr mode? Thought it was the norm, now.
I had one of those cube clocks with the twisty corners, once. Bit weird at first but ok once used to it. Strangest clock I've ever seen was one of those binary ones. Don't think I'd ever suss it out enough to tell the time in one look without having to really study it.
Just realised ... most people have home entertainment stuff with a digital time display.
Also, a lot of people nowadays don't wear a watch, preferring the 24 hour time display on their mobile phone.
