Reading about this earlier, the Semi-final is 5 weeks away and if all the injuries take the said time to heal then Wigan should be without:

Tim Smith, Harrison Hanson, Sean O'Loughlin, Micheal Mcllorum and obviously Gareth Hock, if we can stay relatively injury free from now until then, it will be happy days.

There young players are playing better than there current first team ones..

Add in the fact that you would have stuffed them if they were full strength and it all gets rather giddy for you lot doesn't it.

I wouldnt be too cocky, it come back to bite you, still over a month till the semi, there injured players could recover quicker and we could have a few injuries ourselfs.

If i remember correctly, we had a few injuries in the 2004 semi against a full strength Wigan, and we only lost by 12.

Lets just hope Fielden and Riddel stay fit

Well as you have two back rowers injured, I suppose it would.

Tim Smith is no great loss as Wigan play better RL when Leuluai, Tomkins and McIlorum are on the pitch together, McIlorum is a big loss as he has been in good form where as the pig isn`t doing a great deal.

Yup, them 3 especially are key to Wigan i feel. Al be surprised if Pig does an 80 minutes stint in the middle of the field, maybe lulu will go to 9 during the game and someone will partner Tomkins in the halves. Lulu and Tomkins is their best half-back pairing by miles.

Good luck on the injury front,we have been there many times before with a depleted team...

We'll have to play with what we've got and believe.

There's still a lot of good players available.

According to many on here O'Loughlin, Smith and Hock were cr@p anyway, and Micky Mac wasn't fit to play on the same field as Higham.

We'll give it a shot don't worry.

It's easy to scoff today. There is a month to go and we could suffer the exact same fate ourselves.

I'll never understand people celebrating injuries to players.

Which was my point about people starting the threads about Cunninghan and Long being injured where quite a few of our fans were obviously celebrating Saints having injured players to increase our chances of beating them.

As a paying fan you want to see the best players on the pitch and the best possible match, if you lose then you have obviously not been good enough.
