Personally I have been put off bidding on a lot of Trinity charity items because previously when I bid for some Brennan Rooney stuff it always seemed to be that one person bid higher in the last minute but 'couldn't be contacted' so it went to the 2nd highest bidder, i.e., me. Even though I offered time for them to trace the person who bidded higher, those selling didn't want to chase them up and were willing to take 2nd best.
I would have always paid the highest value I had bid for for the Brennan items (what I bid was what I could afford to donate - no messing about), irrespective of other bids, but the fact I was outbid each time but still offered the items made me be dubious of some e-bay auctions for Trinity stuff.
I am sure this would not happen in this case but due to dubious people in the past, I have chosen not to join in the current bids. I have paid a few quid in to the Adam fund but will always do it directly now instead of through indirect items like this.
