| They are putting a decent run together, their pack is enormous and so is their squad.
Has my idea of us waltzing quietly into 2nd headed into (Gateshead Thunder) Shark infested waters?

| Huddersfield were pretty poor tonight , dropped a ton of ball. Hull should have had it sewn up first half hour. I dont think they are top 2 material over the course of a full season.

| I think Huddersfield are better than they were tonight. They had their equivalent of our game against Hull KR (where we weren't so good on keeping hold of the ball or getting over the tryline). Hull had their moments but they were seriously assisted by Huddersfield's mistakes. Only the two missed conversions separated them at the end, which is probably a fair reflection given that Hudds played poorly in the first half. Nice to hear on the red button Nathan Brown saying good things about Scott Moore. How that guy has changed since leaving Castleford!

Hull look like a top-six side but certainly not a top-two side.

| I was quite impressed with Scott Moore tonight. Is he back at Saints next year? I know we keep hearing he is groomed to be KC's replacement but what contract is he on?

Agreed. Hull looked dangerous nearly every time they were near Hudds line in the first half and should have had at least one or two other scores to their name at half-time. Still conceding soft tries though which could very easily be the difference between a win and a loss against a well-drilled side not making countless errors or playing crap like Huddersfield generally did tonight.

I agree, he looked like a clone ok Kez at times tonight. Great prospect and got a mention off his coach at the end as being one of the few with the right attitude tonight.

Must be your second team with all the ex- Wiganers in there !
They looked a different team last night to the one that played us. Ball security was shocking. Must have turned up at Bradford too. Put it down to an off night.

| Not @rsed about a top two finish.
With the new playoff system a top four spot will do very nicely, allowing us to nurse the youngsters in along the way.

I agree they play some good rugby and if they improve their ball retention I think they will do well.
I am not overly impressed with Hull, we should have beat then at the KC.
Tickle's doing well for my fantasy league team though.

| We haven't really played a top team yet to determine if we are "top two" material but we are winning what is infront of us all and all you can ask for.

I thought the same myself. Not taking anything away from Hull, they've had a really good start and you couldn't ask for much more at this stage of the season. But they haven't been massively tested yet. Yesterday's game was probably their toughest on paper, but Huddersfield didn't play well.
If they come to Saints or Leeds and perform well then we'll have to take more notice. They'll definitely reach the Play Offs.

You look a compact, efficient and will drilled unit capable of capitalising on other teams lack of consistency and that would warrant a place in the top-six.
However, tougher tests lie ahead and time will tell throughout the season...

Looked nothign special last night against a poor error strewn SHudds side. Not sure they last the pace, good start to 09 season but that's about it.
I think Leeds may take 2nd spot again this year.

we played poorly in attack, we should've been out of sight at half time, but still, winning when not at full strength or playinhg well is a good sign, saints usually win games like that.............

| Huddersfield completed 3 sets in the first half and could have still won the game at one point. Fair play to Hull, they secured the win, but Hudds were hardly at the races.
Lets see how Hull fair against some of the title challengers.

| Hull look like a team that are good at grinding out wins, as Bradford used to do.
Their pack is big and they put pressure on the opposition.
They still however seem to lack those killer offensive players that make the difference between genuine title contenders and a mere top8 side.
I also thought it noteworthy that Hudds played shocking yet still scored 20 points against Hull.
For me Hudds have more class in their side than Hull.
Both teams are capable of defeating the likes of Saints and Leeds on an off day, but if Saints or Leeds are in top form its curtains for them.
