Quote ="red13pjb"1. Bought better players
2. Not let the Willows get so run down
3. Not sold the willows (the parallels with swinton are scary, we have no ground!!!!! We don't own the one we play at and will no doubt soon be kicked out).
4. STOPPED PROMISING STUFF HE COULDN'T ACHIEVE'"
1. Perhaps it's the Coach who decides what players to buy? After all, he is in charge of the playing staff. Then there's the salary cap problems. Then there's the problem of actually getting 'better' players to come to Salford. Why come here when they can go to Saints or Leeds?
2. I wasn't aware the ground was so run down. Are you sure you're mixing up 'run down' with 'old'? Also, the Shed roof was repaired at great expense not so long ago. Or did you miss that? Not to mention the other renovations that have taken place over the years.
3. Whilst that is a fair point, I guess he wasn't expecting the current global recession (none of us where, were we?) which has f*cked up the stadium bid since it kicked in.
4. See the answer to number three. Except for the fair point bit, you're talking nonsense now. Bigpev's put a post up elsewhere highlighting the difficulties that we've faced in the whole stadium saga, difficulties that were not the fault of JW, nor could he, or any of us, have seen them coming.
