With all this stupid fixture/ground shifting i'm regretting buying a season ticket, don't think i'm going to bother next year as i'm not sure I can make this one, and if I do i'll probably miss the first 20 minutes. Already missed the Toulouse and Leigh home games, always knew i'd miss Toulouse but Leigh was switched and then switched back. SORT IT OUT!!

My mate who is a season ticket holder lives in Spinkhill,He says the population of Spinkhill is nomore than 200

So if 600 or so descend it willl be fun,God knows were people are going to park,the landlord of the only pub in the village maybe happy though,Cant recomend going through the woods ala a reserve game and getting in for free,Problem is the way backNot nice walking thru the graveyard in the dark

Spinkhill makes the coach and horses look like the emirates

I'd prefer to go by bus so I can have a pint but it looks like an hours bus ride from the city plus I have to get from there home. Doubt that I could make it in time with work etc.

Looks like I'll be taking the car - or would it be better to try and get a coach especially if parking is tight?

As someone who relies on the train to get to home games, I think I'll go to the twenty20 at Headingley instead that night!

Its embarassing, but the Dewsbury fans are going mad about it so Im all for it! Apparently Dewsbury offered us their ground and we could keep the gate receipts but we turned it down, as well as playing it at Wakey

It is shocking to be honest. £14..? love to see how many show up, i'll try and make it but I have no car so if it's crappy weather i'm not catching the tram, bus & walking their i'll stay in & watch the mighty saints.

Club should organise some coaches from Bramall Lane & back at minimal charge to fans..

I agree with the coach idea and I wouldn't blame anyone for choosing not to go. A truly embarrassing episode.

Presumably that's what they were after - an extra home game.

BUT the RFL wouldn't even let us do that with a Reserve Grade game last year. We just got a lecture on 'integrity of the competition' and when we pointed out that we did it, with their approval, in 2009, they said they hadn't noticed.

I was there at Wembley and ill be there at Spinkhill,contrasting but were Eagles fans and thats the bottom line.

Have a word, Don Valley is crap but it's 1000000x better than Mount St Mary's. Only reason you're so happy to go there is cos it's virtually on your doorstep!!

I travel from Hull and not being a native of Sheffield have no idea where Spinkhill is! Sounds little more than a school playing field.
Although I have a season ticket I have no intention of travelling to Spinkhill on a Friday night. My season ticket was bought with the intention of watching matches on a Sunday afternoon preferably at Bramall Lane.
I,ve just found out that the home game against Barrow has now been moved from Saturday to Thursday. This is another game I will not be travelling to!
By now I wish i'd not spent the money on the season ticket. I won't be doing it next season.

I've every sympathy with you. Rugby League certainly doesn't help itself but, even in the old winter rugby days, the fixture list was just a basis for negotiation. A Saturday match in February could soon become a Wednesday afternoon in March.

The trouble with season tickets is that it's difficult to balance the discount you give to make them attractive to punters against the risk that they may miss a game. There's no certainty at all that they'd be a good deal for you at the time you make the decision to buy one. The whole system belongs to the members' clubs of the nineteenth century and needs a good looking at.

Spinkhill, just for information, is a couple of miles at most from J30 of the M1. A lot easier to get to than Bramall Lane on a Friday night.

They still don't seem very happy over on the Dewsbury forum. No pleasing some folk, is there ?

On the way home today I was listening to an interview on Radio Leeds with the Dewsbury coach. He said that they did n,t know when or where they were playing the Eagles but would probably find out on Tuesday!
Now does this mean that the RL have not completed their inspection of Spinkhill or are Dewsbury appealing against the venue.
He also said that he could not believe that 2 professional teams may end up playing on a school playing field. I agree with him on that!

i cetrainly agree,But on the other hand some of the grounds ive visited are not much more than that,ie London Skolars,Swinton,The championship isnt a franchise league so as much as its not ideal,Its a ground.If it was every week then somthing would have to be done,Hopfully it is a one-off as i dont think wed get away with it if continullay doing it.

I've never been so can't say what it's like but looking at pictures, looks a lot better than Spinkhill.

I think that the stand is too small.
Many fans would suffer node bleeds because of the altitude
Good clubhouse but very small although there is a pub 50 yards up the road.

Not been for ages but used to be a fantastic playing surface.
