I don't have much of a problem with Aston's comments to be honest, can understand his frustration. That said, the Emmitt try was one where he needed his touch judges to help him because he was unsighted. And with the slowing the play at drop outs (assume he's referring to the second half ones, as Platt's was a genuine injury which ultimately cost us a try), sadly, it's one of those things that ideally no team should do, but every team does do. Especially when it's the 6th or 7th drop out!

There'll be a few decisions that Rowley could point to as well. Including one suspect forward pass leading to a try. Ultimately though, it wasn't a refereeing decision that made the difference, it was a stupid last tackle play at 22-18 that opened the door for Leigh.

Well I suppose thats why it's in your opinion.Would have thought having 12 full timers and the rest part time will in itself become a problem along the way..If you have a dozen full time, why didn't the club go all out?

I'm not saying its wrong and your club knows best. But for me I predict a little turmoil in that changing room at some point.

Fair comment. As I stated your club know's best. I must admit the Superleague keeps being mentioned,but we all seem to be forgetting the middles 8's in order to get there. That will be a league of it's own.

My friends from the borough of Wigan will be very impressed with renewing the extra point for new Super League clubs being 20 miles apart from existing ones.

The irony for me is that one of us could have been playing in $uperleague in 2015, had we stuck with the licensing system. Instead, we're playing for a chance to play for a place - against clubs with much better central funding.



There isn't enough money to fund a proper, competitive Div 2 so you may well be right. I think we had to give this system a go - if only to stop the whingers - but, if there ends up being no de facto promotion and relegation, it'll lose all its credibility.

This season they signed Dixon once the season was underway and they stated they had wanted to sign him before but were cap restricted until Beaumont left their club.
Then they signed Hock and even with assistance from Salford on payments it does add to suspicions.
However,as shown earlier it really doesn't concern me.Paying for top quality for rugby league supporters is to be encouraged.
I should add that the RFL only took action against Barrow -Des Johnson- when a player returned to OZ and told his story and Halifax were allowed a few seasons back because they had started recruiting before the cap had been altered.

Thats why the middle 8's for me is a better structure for all. 23 games into a season morale I would say very low if your in the bottom 4 as a SL outfit.Complete reversal of the situation for a Championship side..

To be honest if the structure pans out correctly,it should work better for the championship clubs. How you deal with the extra income from those middle 8 games is what sets your future in SL. Unless of course you have youth coming through,as in stars of the future.
