There seems to have been a bit of general confusion about the availability of the Keepmoat for this fixture. So to clarify I have just spoke to Ray Green about this, the Dons, the Eagles and the stadium were all well up for this as an idea in creating a days festival of Rugby League in South Yorkshire, the problem is with the company who maintain the pitch already being booked in for the mammoth annual upkeep job which takes a few weeks. At the moment all the grass is up and just the artificial elements remain as they pack the ground with sand. Our game on the 5th is the only thing on their for about a 5 week period for that reason.

The Dons (and I'd guess the Eagles) were keen in a day involving local amateur clubs, armed forces teams, The Dons and The Eagles but logistically it just couldn't happen at this time of the year or by the time your lads got on the surface, you might as well be in the car park

If you're going to win only one all year, might as well make it away, in the South Yorkshire Derby on Sky

Doncaster are our natural rivals - I say rivals and I mean that in a good way. The local derby should be a game that both sets of fans look forward to and have the bragging rights to until the next time.

The South Yorkshire festival of Rugby sounds like a brilliant idea, could be alternated between Sheffield and Doncaster each year.

And you can bribe the captain if he is back to try guarentee a win.

Does it have a stand? From the video highlights it looks like you can stand on the other side of the fence and watch it all for free.

And so far not approved by the rfl and if it does it will face another check 48hrs before kick off.

As far as I know it HAS been approved.

There isn't a stand as such but there are benches on the hill, I think it's going to be a complete farce personally.

I can't comment as I've never been but from looking at Google Maps and from what i've seen on Eagles TV it looks very, very basic. God knows how they will charge people to get in. I'll pay but fence hopping time for a fair few I think..
