You must mean me. You lot must have finished infiltrating the Warrington forum.Deep joy!
I was certainly disappointed seeing Paul Rowley - he wasn't walking on the Irish Sea! He was mingling with Halifax fans
'Twas only a short time ago he was on Radio Manc whinging about London having a club.Must be like his daddy;not liking clubs outside your village.
As your sarcasm mentioned the game,we were mullered by another side - It was a repeat to that of your and Deggsy Beaumont's bête noire Bradford Bulls who also played us earlier this month and again the same 46 points were conceded.
The better side won.No complaints from me - other than the players from Bradford and Halifax coming out to warm-up while the departing players were taking acknowledgement/applause from the fans who had schlepped out there ( to Blackpool ).Hugely discourteous in my opinion.( As was the Bradford followers singing their songs while our game was proceeding.
Still, after the defeat to Bradford we got back to winning ways.
It must have been difficult for our players adopting to the varying days/nights/kick off times but I'm sure the next time we play at a stadium with orange coloured seats we will do very well. ( That'll be Barnet FC - The Hive - on a Sunday at 3pm 26th July - against London Broncos )
It was interesting to see how the full-time training and conditioning had managed to make Jamie Thackray and Rhys Williams look fitter than they have ever been. They were assisted by someone even older than Higham.Strangely, they scored more points against us than the side representing Leigh Centurions did.
I shall make a point of looking at the scores when you play Bradford and London in the coming weeks - particularly if I need assistance in sleeping as I thought I would struggle tonight - until I saw your biting wit.
You should take lessons from Deggsy - off field culture at Leigh Only a few days after those Twitter comments.
Stay classy.
If I still struggle to sleep I'll count all the number of transfers,in and out, that have involved the clubs where Tony Smith has been head coach and then count the number that he has not been happy with.
Any idea how many he has not been happy with?
No worries if you can't assist.I'll feel better tomorrow if Andy Hay surprises me with his team,if they perform as well as the team where Brian Noble has an advisory role performed today.
Congratulations to London Broncos.Hope their supporters enjoyed today and their winning run continues.

Wow! Another opposition and yet more discipline problems for Leigh. The Rowley/Beaumont gameplan has now been found out by each and every tv viewer when they have escaped previously,as The Championship has not had much television coverage in the recent past.Must find some new thugs to keep the winning run continuing.
At least Rowley learned something when you dual registered with Wigan and Wane invited him/Beaumont to look at the coaching side.
It now becomes clearer why Duffy and Roddy left for Swinton and Parker got out of it to Bradford.
Keep winning friends and influencing people.
Please stop pretending you have hordes of followers - unless they were camouflaged as orange coloured tip-up seats.
We all BeLEIGHve.
PS - If there are any Sheffield Eagles fans still reading 'our' forum - and in the know - is Ken Jones still with the club? I ain't seen, heard, read anything from him in recent weeks.

Broncos Batter Eagles - wp.me/p3JxPK-xF
Just got back from an enjoyable weekend in Blackpool. Our performance was the most inept I've seen in ages, and if that's what we're going to be like whenever Briggs and Knowles aren't around then it's a bit worrying! Fortunately, I say without trying to jinx us, we've a nice spell of games now to, hopefully, get us back on the horse. Starting with Hunslet on Friday.

I'm not 'in the know' but can only assume he's still with the club as there's been no press release or announcement to say otherwise. He's been rather quiet on social media in the last month.

It seems the RFL plan on another Bash next year.
The original idea of the Millenium Magic weekend,I think, was to boost interest in south Wales. Then it moved to the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
I am hoping clubs follow the example of James Lowes the Bradford Bulls head coach and speak out against the concept.
It is an additional cost to regular supporters during these austerity years.
It is,presumably, money going to soccer clubs where followers of those clubs have issues with the club owners.
The Oystons at Blackpool and Mike Ashley at Newcastle.I don't think the owners at Manchester City require any money.
The RFL do not seem to have learned from their involvement with the soccer owners at Wrexham, when they directed Crusaders there, and the CEO at the time,at Wrexham FC,was later imprisoned for dishonesty. The Wrexham soccer fans also had issues with the owners
The Bash is unlikely to attract any new supporters, other than possibly those who watched the now defunct Blackpool Panthers.
Most supporters watch their own sides and then leave the site.
If the attendances are good, despite the games being shown on television, the only conclusion that I care to draw from that is the Saturday and Sunday games/kick off times are more popular than those shown on other days/evenings when games are televised throughout the season.
I would be more than content if I never attend another such occasion.Anyone particularly keen to see these type of events continued?

What a load of OWD coal : Blackpool was a good successful event, well attended maybe not many Seagulls there but PLENTY of other fans having a great time the Pubs where rocking with Fans singing and mixing well.Plenty of fans stayed to watch the other games on Sunday I say plenty of Bradford fans at the game , I even saw 4 Seagulls fans staring into the Sea on the South Pier. .What a great result for Rugby the London one was,the weekends highest score, has the Seagulls bubble burst? Are the Seagulls showing signs of cracking.?Is Menzie ready to be put out to pasture? Is this Tubbs last stand? All will be revealed in due time, look over your shoulders , Fev,Fax,and Dews are closing in.

I would like to see it strangled at birth. This year it was a massive disadvantage to 3 part time clubs having to play full time clubs for a 3rd time. I've never liked the Magic Weekend either. It would become more tolerable with an open draw made on the Friday. I'm not really sure what the purpose of it is now.Presumably it is not developmental but maybe it is at the insistence of Sky. What does it achieve.

| It gives Champ clubs a day in the media spotlight they may otherwise not get, to be shown live on national tv may also add some value to sponsorship. It gives fans a chance to have a weekend away, having the craic with other like minded folk even though some clubs had very few fans in attendance. Those clubs will be having a right royal whinge now due to it costing them money to participate as the event was paid for from funding and clubs kept their sales.

The money saved could be spent by the clubs on marketing and community work in their locality which would be more beneficial.
After the 'spectatcle' of the live national television coverage of your game v Featherstone I would be very surprised if any sponsors are rushing into parting with any of their money. Quote ="maurice"It gives fans a chance to have a weekend away, having the craic with other like minded folk even though some clubs had very few fans in attendance.'"
Most fans have an opportunity of a weekend away every fortnight due to the regular fixtures. Please share with me which fans from which club had craic with Leigh followers and are considered like-minded, and why the number of other club fans should make a difference? Perhaps they were in the bars, mentioned by Charlie, singing and mixing well.
Quote ="maurice"Those clubs will be having a right royal whinge now due to it costing them money to participate as the event was paid for from funding and clubs kept their sales.'"
Should I expect the transparent RFL to disclose how the clubs have benefitted and how much profit each club has made? Probably not just as I didn't expect attendances to improve after the last world cup on home soil.
As the game was on the doorstep for Leigh,in contrast to the other clubs,I didn't expect too much complaint from their supporters.
Should Sheffield get its new stadium in time for next season perhaps the Bash could be held in this development area.Given how much the Leigh followers enjoy the concept perhaps they could drag themselves from their Super League Magic Weekend and indulge themselves in south Yorkshire.
That is if they make super League,of course...

Charlie,
Does this mean you Leigh followers didn't actually watch other games? Pah! I thought you embraced the concept and stayed the whole weekend and watched all the matches bringing along new spectators to enjoy the delights.
Some former hookers do make good coaches you know and Hendo knew all the strengths and weaknesses of the majority of our players and his side were very good. You should let the nice Mr Rowley know that rugby league can thrive in London and games can be won without cards being shown.
It was a nice wake up call and it shall certainly keep the feet on the ground of our players. An experience not known to the supporters, players and coaching staff at Leigh
Perhaps you were rehearsing your comedy routine but for your information both Fev and Fax lost so it cannot be viewed that they are closing-in.
Fev were involved in a little bit of controversy but I cannot recollect who their opponents were.
So,if Leigh fans want the Bash weekend to continue the RFL have only one option.Hope its at Sheffield...

| Our proposed new stadium will only have a capacity of 5,000 so it can't be held there, however Bramall Lane would be a good choice, close to the city centre with lots of excellent pubs and many hotels

Exactly. Financially, it is what you make of it yourself. The financial winners from the weekend were undoubtedly Bradford.
I'd like to see it at a different time. Bank Holiday wasn't a great idea, imho. Nor was having it a week away from Magic Weekend. Some Championship fans like to go to Magic Weekend and having the two on consecutive weekends is a big ask.

So,if Leigh fans want the Bash weekend to continue the RFL have only one option.Hope its at Sheffield...'"
AC I didn't watch any of the Sunday games live , but did see them on TV I was in Blackpool but was busy with my Family I DID however see the Sunday games,as for Blackpool?I'm a big fan of the place in every way,and think it is a great venue to hold these Bashes,a lot of my posts are not meant to be taken seriously ,just Banter really I mean no offence, some do take me seriously at times though, it may surprise you but I DO rate Sheffield, and I think Hendo's will become a decent Coach for London.I really wouldn't want the event taken from Blackpool as it's a place I LOVE, in every way, that might seem strange ,but it's me all over , anyway take care come along to the LSV when Sheffield play there.
