We're all hoping for the same and thankfully this year's budget seems a lot less flawed now the sugardaddy element has been removed. 1,800 break even, 2,000 to pay most of the debt off, 2,200 average possibly achievable and would mean we're debt free by the end of the season. Our squad size is much smaller and obviously players realise their Championship options are ever reducing on our side of the Pennines.

Truly unbelievable comeback! Don't think anyone in the ground expected us to win that at 22-0 with 25 mins left, to be fair though we never stopped going and played excellently the last 20 minutes. The drop goal from Brambani was incredible, second time he's done it for us after his effort against Featherstone a few years ago.

Wow - some comeback.

Excellent comeback and the ideal time to take the lead for the only time in the match! We've done just that to others, ('Fax in the NRC Final last year) so we have to take it when it comes our way.

Here's looking forward to (at least) two more exciting games this season - but hopefully not in the play-offs!

That was quite a game, and what a finish. Dom did that a few years ago to Featherstone at DVS in almost the same place. Awesome stuff.

But lets not skirt the fact that for 60 minutes we were very poor. Its very early days and the team are finding out their strengths and weaknesses, some were obvoius to see yesterday. Lots of penalties as well which is unusual. Q's confidence under the high ball looks low, but he only needs to catch a couple and he'll be back to his old self in no time, he was great going forward mind.

Honourable mention to the Leigh fan who sat two rows from the back and complained and swore about the lack of view, go and sit nearer the front, or better still, dont bother coming.

Two from two, we might yet make the knockout phase....

Too much one up stuff. Tubby may argue that it eventually wore Leigh out and they were shot in the last 10 minutes but the Eagles looked much better when they actually ran lines and supported the ball carrier.

Menzie's tackling technique continues to be a concerm. He'll spend most of this season watching from the stands if he isn't a little more careful.

6-7 according to League Express. Almost all the NRC games had 13-15 penalties. Leigh led 5-2 on pens received in the first half.

Ref said that the player wasn't held. I was much too far away to see, guess the video may shed some light.

That's a world record comeback for a Sheffield team. The biggest deficit we've come back from before now was 20.

We did it twice - against Saints when we thrashed them 35-33 from 0-20 down and then again against Perth when we trounced them 26-22 from 2-22 down - both at DV.

57 minutes is easily the latest we started our comeback, though.

Compared to this time last year, we weren't that poor. Thought Leigh were very impressive and probably didn't deserve to lose. They should go well this year, if they can remain relatively injury-free; however, having a small squad could be their downfall - as has happened to us in the past.

The Eagles are starting to gel a bit more now - still got Mitch to come in and eventually Alex R - all bodes well.

On a personal note - a perfect weekend for me - Eagles win, Spireites beat Wednesday, Leicester City win at Norwich for the 1st time in a hundred years and Tigers got a similar drop-goal win at Sarries.
