18 ? I make it 19 or 20, depending on what Crusaders decide to do.

| I think we were desperate to get Q and Joe Hirst back and better vs Hunslet than say a stronger team but perhaps a game too early for both? Joe looked as if he was hobbling a bit.
Is the squad too small?

It is when the dual reg players go back.

| An alternative name for these dual regs could be the tampax brigade,As there in one week then out for three.

| There's a massive gap between the top of the Championship and the bottom without introducing Gateshead/Skolars/S Wales into the mix right now.
I know a lot of people don't like licenses (unless they have "off" in front of them) but I would have a slightly larger, licensed (or at least minimum standards) Championship. Say 13-16 clubs, 24 league games with play-offs. The other clubs would be in a new National division with the new expansion clubs, semi-pro but still subsidised and with less onerous standards. Winners get promoted subject to minimum standards and ability to sustain the higher level. Automatic relegation from Championship for going into admin.
Northern Rail Cup? Straight knockout, include Championship and National League clubs. Or don't have it at all, whatever.

Fine if you can get enough clubs for Div 3, but I suspect you can't.
I've always said the Rail Cup - or indeed any Cup - should be knockout. It's the whole ethos of cup competitions - at domestic level at least.

| If we expand the league season we can't be faffing about with an NRC group stage. We all hate those games anyway.
You never get enough teams for a third level, the Conference National lineup changes every year.

It is then, full stop. Can't be relying on these players, the whole system is ludicrous, if I had my way we wouldn't sign one dual reg player next season. Loans - fine, otherwise stick with the young lads, at least we know they will be available and will actually want to pull on the jersey.

Agreed. Dual-Reg is a good idea, in theory. But it doesn't work in practice. Another stupid RFL idea that needs scrapping. Just like Franchising, Crusaders, Touch Judges, Northern Rail Cup etc.

The idea of fringe SL players getting match experience at NL1 level is the good idea, i.e. Loans like ESO said. The problem is not knowing until the day before the game if you have that player or not, you cant organise a team/game plan around that.

| The problem with Rugby is there always wanting to change somthing,Whether it be the league size, competitions, dual rags,They never stick with an idea long enough,For instance what was wrong with the old loan system,Its easy and the teams no where they stand,Why have a bonus point,As it added anything to the competition really? Why change the points system,2 points for a draw? Constantly changing how many go up and how many come down,Chagning the format of the rail cup nearly every year,In Football there is consistency and it works,Sometimes the rfl change things just for the sake of it when theres no need,None of the changes they have made have made the competitions significally any better.

Change is good if it improves the way things are.
Some of the recent changes have not.

| The best change they ever made was the 40/20 rule, they should've quit while they were ahead because nothing they've done since has worked.

| Must admit after watching the highlights on Eagles TV,The 1st Hunslet try if you pause it when he kicks it,The bloke is miles offside,The Hanson 2nd try looked like a double movement,His first try was inconclusive whether he grounded it or not,Same for Misi and Paul March,So if the video ref was there,A try each would have been disalowed,The Hunslet 1st try would definatly have been. The others probably benefit of the doubt.

I love how he felt the need to remind us what league we were in every time someone scored. Probably just trying to say it as many times as he can before he has to put a 1 on the end of it next season.
