I hope Menzie doesn't get banned but I won't lose TOO much sleep over it if he does, Jonny Woodcock has played brilliantly since coming back in and I don't think anyone would begrudge Corey Hanson a starting berth given the season he's had.

Yes. Corey is a top lad and it would be great to see a 'proper' homegrown Eagles youngster in the side. He's got so much potential and wouldn't let the side down.

Without wishing to sound too insensitive he should've probably thought about it before he dropped someone on their head, having just got back from a two game ban for ramming someone's head into the floor. I love Menzie as much as the next guy but he does seem to be having a number of brainfarts recently.

Don't talk wet - he is a hard hitting centre - he has played against some of the best sides in the world and they have high regard for him in Austrailia, he hits hard but fairly , he only gets pull up by refs who go soft for the opposition.

I don't believe for one second Menzie ever goes out to intentionally hurt someone, however he is a hard hitting player with a suspect tackling technique which can sometimes get him and his opponents into a spot of bother.

The bloke playing like he does is a liability, he charges in like a loony without any thought, how was it hard but fair against hepworth when he was playing with his head, above the neck is illegal may be not in PNG but it is here, likewise a spear tackle after the play has moved on 10 mins is also illegal, he needs a new tackling technique

Basically what im saying he needs a new technique, and if Aston had adressed this after the hepworth incident instead of sticking up for the player he could of avoided the latest challenge

Sticking up for him didnt do him or the team a lot of good did it, maybe a little word in his shell like and a couple of training sessions might of done the trick

On the other hand - the coaching team could work on his technique so that his tackling is hard but not likely to injure anyone OR incur another presence at the disciplinary panel!!

Menzie is Menzie he'll never change,Been suspended three times in three years,averages out once a season,Not that bad really,Take the ferocious tackling out of Menzie you will lose half the player,Carryon as normal,Unlucky he's banned but just get on with it,He never gets injured so can cope with a player playing 95% of games in a season,You can take the odd game suspension,Bit like playing sunday and then manning up 4 days later against Leigh when people said we had no chance with the quick turnaround,Thats life and just get on with it,Bring on sunday and the trophy back to Sheffield.

Fair do's! I'll live with that. A bit like Brendon Tuuta used to play like. If he curbed his aggression he would have lost 50% of his effectiveness.
What I can't do with is the daft denial as to how he is! The "he's hard but fair routine"! His technique is always likely to get him into bother and if you are prepared to front it up as you suggest when he gets a ban cos he's gone too far, then fair do's! You pays your money - you takes your chance!
