What about the rugby union grounds ie Sheffield and Tigers?Are they too small? What about Hillsborough?

,Rotherhams Clifton Lane where weve played before,Woodburn road?,Cant see the attendance being much over 1k so as a one-off cant these grounds hold it.

I get where Griff is coming from but this whole having no home ground to play at will work against us regardless where we play the game at.

why will it Liam? we had the same 2 years ago, the keepmoat pitch was in a really bad state and had to be relaid.

we played several of our games at Featherstone. Although the loss of finance by playing away from the town was crippling, which is probably your main concern if you have to play outside sheffield.

im more surprised the RFL didnt step in when you asked to switch the tie earlier in the season to a home game. they have done before and should have done this time, and then you wouldnt have the mess.

Im sure Donny now put in to the rfl any time scales when the pitch is being reseeded to avoid being given a home game (i might be wrong though)

IIRC you need to have a lease in place for a certain length of time as part of the licensing criterea, think its 10 years to be honest, Fax had to get that sorted with the council for their bid.

Aston in today's league express said we can't play at Donny. Wish we could take it too somewhere like Chesterfield or something.

Something to think about now incase next year we are in the same boat. I'm Sure if it was in the footy off-season and marketed well to Chesterfield footy fans at one of their games then we'd get a good turnout!
