A few of us got together today, kind of spontaneously, and it was the best atmosphere at a home game for ages. Not sure who instigated the "Barlow what's the score" chant though...

Thought the atmosphere was good,Proves you can create a atmosphere regardless of how many people are they,Just need a big gob and a few willing volunteers.

I could just see HL jumping up and down in the isle and naturally assumed it was him.

In the short time i've followed the eagles it was the best atmosphere i've experienced at home!

I was sat nearer to the front near the Eaglettes and was one of those climbing over seats to get cover when the heavens opened but I kept up with most of the chants and got a few around me to join in too!

Agreed! Seeing as the next home game is over a month away & against Leigh at 5pm why don't we arrange pre-match drinks somewhere close to Bramall Lane?

Can anyone answer the supporters club question too? - Be good to get a facebook group and stuff up and running.

In terms of bars - ideally the Tunnel Bar would be open but I have never seen it open since the Wigan game.
There is a hand ful of people and I mean a handful who go to the Sportsman but not popular with some because it's United pub.

I walked past a bar last week just around the corner where they were selling some lager or other at £2 a pint but it was empty. I have no idea of the name but I have a feeling it's on Boston Street.

Wetherspoons on Ecclesall road isn't a million miles away but not sure how they would react to fans in colours.

How are people getting to Dewsbury? I don't drive and it's a struggle to drag my other half who drives, to Bramall Lane nevermind Dewsbury! I was looking at train that leaves at 11:49 and gets in for 13:21, only £9.50 too!

How does everyone feel about a Facebook group to organise stuff like this?

It's called Bar21 Airbourne,The skolar on london road is okay for a drink aswell,Got sky and they dont mind colours,Usually go in there before the blades games,Got real ales aswell Airbourne

,Why dont we just say for the next home game Everyone gather in one block ie Block D and if it takes off

it will surely catch on with other people,The club could even post it on forum/twitter that block D is the singing section,If you want an atmosphere sit there,Easy done.

Dewsbury on the train is a nightmare:

Train to Leeds, change and train to Batley, change and train to Dewsbury (sometimes you can get straight to Dewsbury).

The stadium is about three miles out of town uphill so unless your Sir Edmund Hillary its a taxi job.

If you drive its five minutes off the M1.

The Supporters Club is still very much alive however we are struggling to get a committee meeting together due to work and family commitments. We intend to have an open meeting soon, most likely at the Royal Standard but thats still at the planning stage. More to follow.

Your are probably better off getting a train to Batley and a taxi from there (or maybe a Bus??)- or do the treck uphill you will need oxygen by about half way!

We're on the 10:21, there's a Wetherspoons at Leeds station too, incase you can't wait the 28 minutes without a drink. Also when you get off the train at Dewsbury there's a pub literally as you step off, if you get the right door it's about 4 steps from train to pub

I think the bit where we were stood to the right of block D, to the left of the VIP box is a good spot to congregate and declare our love for Depeche Mode

For Batley we'll be on the 10:18 - more than welcome to join us - massive Wetherspoons before we go up that mountain
