FA Cup semi finals being played at Wembley stems back to '93 when we ANNIHLATED Sheff Utd at Wembley (2-1, after extra time

). The FA had said Arsenal vs Spurs (I think?) would be played at Wembley but we'd have to play our semi final at E**and Ro*d, as you can imagine the Sheffield folk kicked up a fuss and it got moved, and I think they have pretty much been at Wembley ever since, obviously not when the old one was being knocked down and the new one built.

As for it being the only ground to get all of City/Man Ure fans in, maybe if the FA gave them a fair proportion of tickets!! They've been allocated around 34,000 seats each which means almost a third of Wembley's capacity will be taken up by the corporate prawn sandwich brigade, which I think is a joke, punishing the proper fans (I'm informed Man U do have some!) certainly in City's case.

Due to the game still taking place at 3pm on the saturday I now have a groupon voucher for 2 adults and 2 children for the game. It was £6 but i'll give it away for nothing 7 post it if anyone knows someone who will take full advantage of it!

3pm on the Saturday is fine for me. Could n't give a monkeys about soccer! Having been brought up on Rugby League since the 1960s have never understood the attraction of soccer. Too many overpaid primadonnas trying to cheat and antagonise the ref.

Its quite obvious that a lot of Eagles fans are fans of football as well, the point about England being on at the same time is a valid one, whether people like football or not of course its going to impact on a crowd. How many other topics have turned to football anyway, not that many at all. Im with ESO on this, the other forum was ruined by constant petty sniping by keyboard warriors, this fourm is a breath of fresh air compared to the garbage on the other.
