Unfortunately Bradford did not play a weakened team kicking myself as -18 points for a team needing to win to win the championship was the bet of the season but it looked fishy so left it alone did not help with the result at Halifax unfortunately my first assessment proved correct but still 3 games to go and 2 wins should be enough unfortunately they are all difficult

Out-enthused and outplayed. Can tell why people may be having doubts about our top four status. Need to put on a good show next weekend against Bradford in preparation for the Featherstone game which is the biggest since our semi-final against them last season. Dont worry he is just a Leigh supporter trying to stir it, they think we are a dirty team and are only in the top 4 at the moment because we try to stop the other sides from playing rugby by dirty play however they dont have the stats to back it up. Not at all, it's because the second tier must develop into a thriving comp and to do that it needs teams who have a support base to become FT and challenge for SL status on decent gates which will raise the comps profile as a result

I hope this doesn't impact on our 'home' attendance at Doncaster.

Its a long, long time since I saw them looking more "incentivised" (if there is such a word).

The board are trying to build a stable business prior to going for SL and the fans are behind them all the way. Just announcing that you're going full-time isn't enough. We've suffered financial problems enough times and are now building for the future. We had 8 years in SL from its inception and have lost around 60% of our supporters over the years but still have around 3 times as many as Sheffield. That's not a dig just a statement of fact and we want to build the support back up with attractive rugby and the subsequent success it brings. Yes, we want to return to SL but not at any price and only when we're ready.

Plus at a meeting in the new year, the board said we're looking to sort out our own training facilities before deciding to kick on. the foolish man built his house on the sand

Good luck to Halifax in their Qualifiers campaign. Certainly got great form on their side going into it.

For me from an Eagles perspective, I'm obviously happy we've gone full-time from next season. Our board will have done the sums and they wouldn't put presence at danger for a quick shot at SL. Even Tubbs has said we won't be spending big bucks on former SL players just so we may have an outside chance of going up next year.

We may not have the biggest fanbase but a potential step back into Sheffield in 2016 will do more good than anything. We can start to market the club in the city as there wasn't much point this season, even with the #RLNewEra, as we were out of the city. We've done well as a mostly part-time squad this season so next year will be an interesting one to say the least for us.
