| I know the Challenge Cup is a big game and it should be the only game being played on Saturday but why are there no superleague games and all championship games being played on Thursday Night !! Not complaining really as we will have 5 full days rest before the biggie away to Featherstone

| I think it's right the Cup Final is a stand alone fixture for that weekend. It's rugby league's day out.
Plus it gives us more rest. Can't see any negatives to be honest.

| I have to agree with E.S.O the cup final is a show piece for rugby league and i think no other fixtures should take any attention away from it at all ie no super league fixtures
A true national sporting event (no matter what some RL fans think of the challenge cup these days)

| Should be an easy win provided complacency doesn't set in. 52 - 12 to Eagles.
Crowd 800, don't think many will be going to go just because it's the last league match at DVS.

The negatives are the big journeys on a Thursday night. We didn't draw the short straw. If I'd have been doing the fixture list I'd have used the Bank Holiday - but, at the end of the day, it's the clubs that approve the plan.

| In which case we'd have ended up playing Monday/Wednesday which wouldn't have been very enjoyable.

No, we wouldn't. We'd probably have played Fev this week or last week, wouldn't we ?
The fixture plan came out nearly a year ago. You can only base your decisions on the information you have at the time.

| To say we've fit an extra game in this week, the spacing has been quite kind to be fair. Sunday/Thursday/Wednesday/Sunday isn't bad at all.

| Going back to the Challenge Cup why are the playing it now when the football season has started and very close to the end of the season. Would it make more sense to have it in the middle of July when there is no other sporting events on, it would attract higher TV Viewing figures and could attract more fans to the sport. Also there was also a gap of 2 months from the qtr finals to semi finals which i though at the time was a bit strange

| Charlie has been up all night debating ,and ive come up with the decision to predict a seagulls win , this is difficult to predict , but it must be chosen to see who finshes top of the tree , I like to cheer my choice and will choose wisely later but feel it can happen later today .

It all depends on when the BBC have time to show it.

| Well a win is a win, i was not particularly impressed with the performance. several times throughout the match i thought we could be heading for a shock defeat but when we had our chances we were ruthless. Hats off to Hunslet they battled all the way and deserved their bonus point (their 12th this year !!) I wish them good luck in there last game which happens to be at home to Featherstone !!!

| Hunslet came out fighting to void relegation, which I believe they did with the bonus point. Eagles came out with next Wednesday on their minds or maybe they just played badly. They have after all, with the 2 Cup runs, played more matches than anyone else, many at the back end of the season so maybe the odd poor game isn't so surprising and at least they won.

| Wasn't vintage but good win in the end - credit to Hunslet they were excellent, much better than when we played them earlier in the season.
We've won every home league game this season. Fantastic achievement.

| I presume 2 go down this season if so Hunslet are favs to go down (they are level on points with Barrow who play home Keighley and Hunslet are home to Featherstone) looks like its going to be an interesting last day of the season with 5 teams in relegation trouble

| Hunslet came and used spoiling tactics, slowing the p.o.b. down, late tackles(used to be known as flopping!), must have paid Ronnie to forget his specs and then we had Eagles doing the usual of not performing well against teams in the bottom half of the league........... but hey ho, they won and that is what counts..............
That's the 115th game won by Eagles at DVS out of 188 played since the rebirth ................ so in excess of 61% win ratio............ that will do for me....

| Really enjoyed the game despite an under par performance it was tense and to be honest i really thought we would lose at one stage a really good 10-15 minutes in the second half where the play of the ball + shifting the ball out of dummy half was much quicker and just generally more urgency about us won it for us, credit to Hunslet for getting there bonus point but the last try we conceded was so soft though
An enjoyable night all round and a decent crowd
