I'm not expecting a big win - hoping for one though.

I think that there will be a few (maybe lots of changes) to the team that played at Gateshead.

To be honest, I'm not really looking forward to this game. I can see the crowd being really poor, with the game at the cavernous hell hole home of Rotherham United and the Millenium Magic being on telly.

We should be kicking off at 12 am Saturday - as usual....

Especially when the opposition arrive in Sheffield at 5pm on the Friday

Well let's be honest that wasn't great. The conditions were once again a leveller and Haven looked a solid if somewhat unskilled unit but more and more teams are doing that to us. Our game is quite easily worked out by the opposition. When we play our expansive attacking game I think the tries will flow. Too early to say yet wether we are going to be a top six side, the teams needs to gel in the next two games before we find out. Refereeing was rather iffy but speaking from experience those kinds of games are very difficult to ref. He got a fair bit wrong but it's to be expected in that rain.

So not time yet to panic, work to do but time is on our side.

Let's be honest, these games are essentially friendlies, no matter how they're dressed up. We were pretty rubbish but if that team is the 17 that lines up for the first league game I'd be amazed. Fair play to Haven, they stuck to their game, worked hard and deserved all three points. Well done to Tim Bergin for handling the pressure of the conversion after the hooter to get the draw, and Andrew Henderson stood out all game, a deserved man of the match award. If Dane McDonald is a stand off, I'm handing my CV in to Tubbs. Ref was crap.

As an aside, I thought the programme was great...

dr badvibes is correct last week menzie got the ball 4 times and scored 3 tries ,this week he hardley touched the ball, our half backs were never in the game and our kicking was attrocious ,aimless at best . today workington beat gateshead 82-0 so what does that say about our performance last week .we needed to win 3 out of 4 games to make the semis ,we've got leigh next week and hunslet the week after so if we do reach the semi's we get widnes away i think ,

Isn't it great to see the end of Game On. Thought we needed a leader today Henderson was great but nobody kept up to him Yere didn't get the ball until half way through the first half when 5 opposition players were infront of him. Someone tell Danny it's a passing game and stop crabbing - no speed and always takes the ball from standing - but then again most of the other thirteen did that!

Agree about Danny Mills, he gets worse every time I see him. Seems uninterested, shame really because in his first spell with us he grew into a decent player.

I know these aren't the same as league games but the message has to be must do better. Fans are paying good money to watch the games.

One good point - the programme in terms of quality and content was excellent. I read this properly when I got home rather than just glancing and off the field perhaps the club is making some good progress.

The programme was good,The view from the stand article was the highlight for me,Who scored tha last ry i was too busy collecting my 45p.

That's interesting. Sheffield have played Haven and drew and Gateshead and won 32 - 20 whilst Worky have played Haven and won 28 - 18 and Gateshead and won 82 - 0. The next two weeks games will be interesting as Sheffield play Leigh next week and then Hunslet whilst Town play Hunslet next week followed by Leigh. Are there any other teams that have played the same four opponents?

I think we need misi and QLT here as soon as possible as next week could be a heavy score against us if we don't sort everything out. Thought we just looked very flat, very original & no idea when it came to set pieces. The ones we did try we tried over and over again and was found out very early. Can't do this next week against a team like Leigh.

Team needs to improve big time before Widnes @ BL in a few weeks.

Seen on the star website that the attendance was given as 727. Good figure considering it was on DVS, the weather, MM weekend and the fact it is a glorified friendly..

To be fair Dane mcdonald is not a stand off nor does he want to play there. His just doing it cause tubbs wants him to. But allround it was a poor performance regard less of the conditions. Lucky the human coat hanger tim bergin can kick goals to save us a point.

There's nobody else at the moment.
