It has been announced by Leigh Centurions ,that Sheffield have agreed a DR partnership with the Centurions for the coming 2017 season, I thought Tubbs didn't like the DR system?Myself I think it will benefit both Clubs, who knows we may even have Angelic Cynic praising the Centurions.

I think given our situation its a good thing for both clubs, as part of the deal diggery, we can send you AC on a weekly basis!

This may surprise you BE,but I have a good opinion of AC,I think at times he has plenty of words of wisdom,it will be very interesting to see his views on the subject.As I said I think it will be a very good partnership for both Clubs , we have 4 very talented hookers for a start ,and a good half back in Ben Reynolds, and a big group of forwards , it will be interesting to see how this developes.

I think the likes of Reynolds and Foster will be lined up for dual reg, half back is the one area we are weak in at the moment

Foster is predominately a 9 but no doubt could cover 7.

I'll have you know my services don't come cheap.






I think I would need a metamorphosis on a scale of clown to farmer (?) in appearance,and from Blackpool to Weatherfield in location for that to happen.

Though,I must point out.I have not levelled any criticism throughout the year - ever since the individual with morals and integrity left.
No complaints about discipline or about any comments.Nothing.Zilch.
I think Neil Jukes has handled the situation and himself throughout 2016 in an exemplary fashion.

As of this moment, Eagles don't have an out-and-out full-back so either Ryan Hampshire or Gregg McNally will do just fine I think!

Danny, at the moment we have Aussie Mitch Brown pencilled in for the full back shirt,and I'm not sure what our backs or forwards line up will be, we have a squad of around 28 players at the moment ,so it could mean around 10 players being available each week , I'm not sure what number of players are allowed to be DR at one time , but I'm sure Jukesy our Coach will know what he wants, I think it will be very interesting,you could even get Leigh fans watching you when you play, Oldham,Swinton,and Roch dale, good luck for the coming season.

I noticed the squad numbers and the depth of your squad is impressive. Hopefully the partnership will be beneficial for both parties, especially as Leigh and Sheffield both like to play an expansive style of rugby so the transition should be quite smooth. As BE pointed out we're short in the half-back area so it wouldn't surprise me to see someone like Ben Reynolds come and play in the Red and Gold for a few matches, he's been around the Championship/L1 scene for the past few years and I'd like to think he'd be a good addition if he's not getting game time in SL with the Centurions. I have just been told we have signed an Aussie second row /prop called Lachlan Burr, he was down to play for Bradford but has become a free agent now , for me we seem to have an abundance of forwards now.Again very interesting.

Two players who won’t feature for the Centurions this Sunday are youngsters Lewis Foster and Dave Thompson. They are the first players to join Sheffield Eagles since the dual registration agreement has been arranged with the Championship club.

The pair are expected to feature for the Eagles at Doncaster on Sunday but will turn out for Leigh against Dewsbury on January 29.

As for Eze?I'm sure about his origins, but we at Leigh always pronounced it as EASY,he does possess a fair bit of speed and scores plenty of tries, I think he will go well for you,as we don't have many younger players in our squad this season , whoever Jukesy makes available to you , they will be experienced,and I do hope you go well this year.

An update on that Griff. McNally was injured in the Wigan 'friendly' and is out for about 12 weeks. That virtually guarantees Hampshire's place in the starting lineup, especially as Lee Smith has been released now.

After Minchella and Brown linked up well in the halves at the weekend, it'll be interesting to see if Tubbs selects Ridyard or not. After signing Johnson from Huddersfield today, I imagine he'll replace Burr who's in your squad for Friday. Tubbs may bring Cox and Straugheir into the squad so who knows? Dayne Weston was brilliant for you guys last season so it'd be good to have him in the squad unless he picked up a knock against Cas?
