| Nothing to do with your personal preference.
Which day would get us the biggest crowds ?

| I selected Sunday at 3pm as it's best for away fans and also easy & free parking around the ground.
I would like to see a Friday evening or two given a go at Bramall Lane, could tap into a whole new audience of people.
Lots of businesses in the city centre, coming after work on a friday having a meal at the ground and getting one of the hospitality boxes...

| Sunday at 3pm for me, although I think Friday night would be good too, I reckon I could get some friends to come along for a pre-town warm up kind of thing.

Friday's definitely best for corporate. Leave work at 5, ground for 6 for a meal, match 7.30 ish, home for 10 ish. As opposed to Sunday where it takes all day.
But does it draw huge crowds ? Probably not.

| I never really minded but the general concensus wasn't good. Thing is Friday is best for corporate which is our main source of income, but you can't beat a couple of beers in the sunshine on a Sunday afternoon, although we've hardly had much of that over the last couple of years.

| The weakness of our business, though, is Joe Publics through the gate. That's what's stopping us getting into Superleague (or even making an application for a franchise).

| Tradition was games were played on a Saturday, 'til Sunday became a tradition which the younger members remember, then Mr Rimmer said everyone voted for Saturdays (I think the majority of the 47 votes said that!!), then SKY made it a Friday night with Thursdays no matter how far you had to travel, sod the supporters, sponsorship and corporate arrangements made pre-season, but [uCONSISTENCY[/u of one day/night is the answer, and let the clubs call the shots, not Murdocks Monkeys.
Sunday at 3pm is still the ideal, as the chance of bums on seats is the priority, corporate obviously helps but you can't please everybody all the time.........

| Saturday wouldn't work because the start and end of the rugby season overlap with the football season and, whether you like it or not, football is the most popular sport in this country and especially in Sheffield, we'd lose a considerable number off our attendances if it clashed every week for the first few and last few weeks of the season.

| Think next year, get an opponent to agree (and Sheffield United) and do a big promotion for a Friday night game.
Get big companies down that work close by down and allocate them sections to sell to staff etc..
If you never try you never know!!

What about a compromise of Sundays when the seasons overlap and Saturdays when it's only the RL season? Or is consistency throughout the whole of the season more important?

| Consitency is important as people who work saturdays will be less inclined to buy a season ticket if games are spread over the weekend. Its best to know.

| As Badvibes said it's consistency. Months without a home game and games at Don Valley and Spinkhill don't help develop a supporter base. If the whole Bramall Lane thing is to work we need it for all league games with no daft breaks and hopefully a Friday game which the cub can promote and get some new fans in.

| The problem is Liam that we cant help that break, the footy club has to re-lay the pitch, and we have to vacate while they do that. Personallym i dont mind going back to DVS for a one-off.

You [iwould[/i know. Sundays during the soccer season. Saturdays outside it.
What bu99ers it up far more is Sky changing games at short notice and Dewsbury refusing to play at Bramall Lane.
Having said that, season ticket sales seem to hold up quite well.

| Speaking of, is that stamp card offer still going on? At the Dewsbury and Barrow games no one had a clue about where I could get my card stamped.
True, sky moving games doesn't help. But clubs could do with the extra ££££

| Yes but moving the games about doesn't make you want to buy a season ticket if you reckon you might not be able to get to the games.
How many games can you afford to miss before you're out of pocket ? Two, is it ?

| Especially when sky used to make it £5 entry and we were on just about every week in 2009. Devalues the ticket.

| Season tickets don't half restrict your marketing options. It's as though they set a minimum price below which you can't offer tickets without risking(justified) earache from season ticket holders.

| I believe that Sky allocate some money and you can use it pretty much as you want. Might be free tickets for schools or hire a band for pre match entertainment - whatever. You have to agree it with the RFL though.
It's in everyone's interest for the crowd to be big on t'telly, obviously.
