Nearest train station is Atherton, as jonny the leyther says. However, there's work being done on the railway bridge. The 582 Bolton to Leigh bus takes a diversion and therefore doesn't stop outside the station. So it's a 10 minute walk to Atherton town centre to catch the bus to Leigh. No buses run from Newton-le-Willows to Leigh after 7pm.

They do every year. But it's good because it gets funnier and funnier each year when they lose in the play-offs



On a serious note, Leigh shouldn't even be playing in the Championship because of what happened to Gateshead a few seasons ago - York should have been promoted back then.

I like watching the Championship games on a Thursday night because I find the game less structured than Super League so it's a better spectacle - it's just a shame Leigh are in it...

Why shouldn't leigh be in the championship in 2011?

Because they haven't won promotion from Div 3 yet from when they were relegated.
