Looking at the squad have gone with equal if not better players now compared to the trains cup it has really changed my mind,Thought we were far off last years team,But now i feel as though we are at least at a par with last years team,We lost Tangi,Cook,Corcoran,Haley,Brendon,Exton,We have gained Wood,Crookes,QT,Finnighan,Higgins,We have lost other players ie Barnett,Thackeray etc but believe we have replaced the ones with equally as good replacements,The only difference is there not permanent,anybody feel the same or have we got better or even gone backwards?For me Hendo has replaced Cook and is far superior as for running a game,Cook scores more tries but Hendo is far the better player and organiser,We were never going to keep them both.

Yes, I was also concerned with the number of experienced players we'd lost close season.

However, after the appalling start in NRC, we do seem to be gelling into a really solid team -
the young lads will get better as the season goes on.

So, I'm now quitely optimistic that we can make the play-offs & stuff St.Helens in CC4



This is going to be the closest championship yet, they'll be plenty of twists & turns on the way.
