SHEFFIELD United's Chris Morgan is ready to make the switch to rugby league - but only as a spectator!
The Blades captain has been 'signed up' by Sheffield Eagles as the countdown starts to their first game at Bramall Lane. Morgan compared sports and swapped shirts with Eagles vice-captain and half-back Brendon Lindsay when they met at United's Shirecliffe training base.
"I've never played rugby or watched it much but talking to Brendon about the game has got me interested," said Morgan. "Myself and some of our players have been invited to the first game at Bramall Lane and we hope to be there."
The Eagles kick off at Bramall Lane against Featherstone Rovers on Sunday 11 April (3pm.)
Morgan may be cheering on the Eagles from the stands but he doesn't have plans to switch codes.
The tough defender said: I'm not sure it's for me. The tackling in football can get physical but it's not like the rugby lads. It's something different. It makes me wonder how some of the lads like Brendon feel when they wake up the morning after a game."
