14-36 in the end. Broncos were rather better than I had anticipated I have to admit. They had obviously watched the HAC game as there was no attempt to take us on up the middle, but instead used superior footwork and pace out wide. Defensively they were good too.
I thought Skolars looked disciplined both in attack and defence. It was much less rag tag than last year. However, there did not appear much creativity and I worry about our ability to score points this year, particularly if James Anthony's injury is bad. Man of the match for me for Skolars was Louis Robinson, but Dave Williams, when on the pitch, and Anthony Cox were also good.
Enjoyed the Caveman, but was disappointed at the lack of anything else happening in the bar afterwards. No food, beer apart from Caveman which ran out just after the end of the game), merchandise and even tables and chairs does not point to the club grasping that many fans want a social side rather than just turning up for the game. For what may be the second biggest home crowd of the season that was poor.
