What a choice for away travelling RL fans....



Mind you will be either playing for a team in the Heaven League or - though hope not - in the Hell League by then. Tough expect the 'Whippet & Flatcaps' fans will still complain that the RFL has ruined our 'great game' by allowing all this unfettered expansion outside their 'home towns'. Nowt change.....

One does have to admire the classic simplicity of the perfect one two.

Look plane and simple. It wont work. RU is the national sport in wales. People wont travel from all round wales to watch Celtic Crusaders. The crowds will eventually settle around a couple of thousand. Only reason people aroudn bridgend are entertaining the idea is because the welsh RU don't want them so they feel betrayed.

You can tell there still rugby union fans at heart by the way they attacked Brian Moore after his comments.

Just because Union is the national sport in Wales doesn't mean the Celtic Crusaders wont be a success. And it certainly shouldn't mean we shouldn't try to establish a club in Wales.

lets look at union whos is the best region with loads of cash Ospreys so would prob be the only one to watch then it will get boring
National team 6 nations sides where poor last year
how many players will come from union to league eill have to wait and see
how many league players went north cuz there was nowt in wales for them i think they would have played at CC if they where up and running then
I belive that they will survive
OK maybe we will have poor crowds to start didnt the warriors till they played the likes of wasps
how many SL Clubs have a big away following i was told leeds take about 2500 away not a lot seeing as they been around for years

Erm no it shouldn't. The "e" in english, meaning language is not capitalised whereas the "w" in Welsh as in race or nationality is.

The problem is with some bait you just catch an old trout or two (and you've just go a net full!!)

Well, I for one am very glad to see Celtic Crusaders (and Harlequins!) in Superleague. And yes, I'm from Sintellins, which is in that wonderful nether world known as the heartlands.



I'm keeping everything crossed that the Crusaders make it through their first year uncertainties in the same way the Dragons did and they grow as a club and a team; that the great work being done by the Quins and Skolars in London really begins to pay dividends and that Quins stay in the play offs; that Gateshead Thunder manage to avoid relegation to Championship 1 so they can build on the good work they've been doing in that soccer mad part of the world; that the Nottingham Outlaws and Bristol Sonics can keep producing the goods outside the fulltime game; that Barrow win their grand final (because although that part of the world is a traditional heartland, it has been neglected); that Bradford Bulls get on board to spread the game into the Asian community; that the sport really catches on in Jamaica, because I'd love to visit the country, and that the BBC wake up one day and realise that they've been letting a fabulous product pass them by, and they actually start to put the Superleague Show on at the same time every Sunday for a full hour nationwide!

I don't ask for much.



However, I do want Crusaders fans to know that there are a lot of people who feel the same way I do: that we want rugby league to succeed all over the place, are fully on board with expansion and look forward to taking trips to far flung corners of the country (and globe!) to support the game and our particular team. It's a great sport and I don't understand how anyone doesn't want it to succeed.

Very beautifully put saints fan and we the Crusaders fans have met more people for expansion than against and a big % of fans of other clubs we have met home and away have been brilliant people and weve had good banter yes there have been a few idiots/thugs from other clubs but no doubt we have got a few as well and i for one would just like to see one winner from all this expansion and thats the best game in the world Rugby league isn't that why we are all here.
