Neil McIlroy is Scottish and has experience in the Top 14 with Clermont Auvergne. He will work on the sporting side of the club alongside Christophe Levy who leads the commercial organisation.
Both report into Bernard.

A sporting director has been something missing for ages. Anything that prevents another Bernard vanity purchase a la Brent Webb has to be good.
Not fussy about a big clearout either. The squad was looking bloated and imbalanced.
There are two ways to refresh things - overhaul the squad or change coach. It's often the latter as it's a lot cheaper and carries less inherent risk.

McNamara has been telling the media that JD will be replaced in house and that reserve team players will be filling the squad.
Which is a worry when you look at how they are doing this season.
Interesting that he wont rule out further signings but down the track.
Will it be a case of slow start, fast finish to 2023 for the Dracs?
