Well a few on here will be cheered by the news. Strong rumours about Willie Manu who I thought was as good as signed by Saints. I'd love to think that Sa's place in the squad will be occupied by a Frenchman next year but I won't hold my breath.

In the same week as Dureau and Baitieri sign up on long-term deals? Hardly. I would guess that Irish have more spending power than any Super League has and the "Robbo Knows" theory holds a lot of water. Who is to say whether the move came as a result of the Dragons not extending Sa's deal, Sa himself wishing to move on or Irish simply coming in with an offer too good for Sa to refuse? Maybe Sa has always wanted to freeze his nadgers off waiting for the ball to come his way - who knows
