Our game at Queensbury was cancelled.Nice lie in for me.

Went down to the club to watch our 14s play Normanton in the Yorkshire Cup semi. Unfortunately it was called off at midday with pitch just too hard.

Must say Normy didn't seem like they wanted to play. They claimed all morning how their ground was perfect but when the ref and King Cross offered to go to Normanton to play the pitch was suddenly unfit. Surely can't be related to KXP having their England players unavailable next week.

Now then, now then, shall I put my our side of the storey across.

When our U14's left to go to your place they did'nt know our U15's and one of the junior games had been called off by a referee.

We ALL know this was a semi-final for the BARLA Yorkshire Cup, and we ALL know if it is cancelled twice at the home ground it goes to the oppositions ground.

I was informed by people that were there that,THE REFEREE OFFERED IT TO BOTH COACHES, for the game to be played but would they both sign a bit of paper saying that they (COACHES) agreed the game should be played.

So we have to ask some questions here?

1. If the pitch/pitches were playable, why did'nt the game go ahead.

2. The referee gets paid to make decisions, so why is he asking coaches if the pitch is fit enough?

3. Games are called off at Normanton for other teams, so how could this game go ahead.

4.Its irrelevent that KX have players out for England the following week, who can predict that this game will happen next week?

5. This game has to go ahead choose what, so lets just play the game whatever and where ever its played, at the end of the day a field is just a field.

Oulton v Skirlaugh on Sunday. Should be a good game. Bit stupid us playing you, what will effectively be, twice in a row!!

how come saint joes have not play hull isberg yet

We havn't either. Its just the way the fixtures go!

Very silly, but lets hope the games played in as good spirit as the last one.

I'd say we'd try everything we can to get the game on, considering we didn't play last week!

Just back from hols. A week of hot sunshine does the trick this time of year.



My lad says KXP had a top game with Vics last weekend with Vics just pulling through 20.10. Amazing how the team has progressed over last 5/6 weeks.

We play Elland in the Halifax Cup on Sunday. Lost 74.0 to them at the end of October. Reckon it'll be much tighter this time.

i went last week 2 watch them against sheffield and they play they poor
but it do's not help when they only have 13 players think they might fold after xmas they 32 - 22 but it was 22 - 6 to sheffield at half time so it was a better second half i have 2 say the pitch was a bit of a mess

Almost certainly will be 11.30 on our Kensington pitch (the one up the road from the clubhouse).

Called off. Waterlogged pitch. Looked fine to me but to be fair Park didn't play on it yesterday but played on Moor. Don't know why we didn't play on the moor, all the football pitches are being used this morning.
