well deserved win for langworthy, were the best team throughout....can't believe how bitter losers irlam were, coaches and speccies running on the pitch at full time to give it to the ref when they were only in the lead because he decided to give them a "benefit of the doubt" try with 5 minutes to go....and to top it off players saying that the game didn't matter and they had loads of players missing....what a load of rubbish, best team won and should have been by more

fair play to your lads they worked hard and stuck in the game but the ref was twisted badly.

Well played Langworthy played well tonight yes we were under strength and had played Saturday but you can only play whats in front of you . Thought the ref was outrageous at times the sin binning was justified for the high shot as we were warned as were you boys but why your lad was not sin binned directly after for the same offense i will never know only a penalty was given, i dont want to go on about the ref but all we want is consistency and as much as i know its hard for them to see everything if they set a precedent with a sin bining or sending off they should stick to it .Anyway congratulations langworthy

the ref was power mad at times, with dodgy decisions bothways but theres plenty worste out there.
you say you dint have a full strenght team half your kids are bigger than are props and it looks like you got a few gooduns coming through. but again we didnt have a full team, one or 2 turned up halfway through because of work. you say we celebrated like gays we say you was bitter like bitches,

The ref was bad for both teams last night, i don't know how you can give a "benefit of the doubt" try in an amateur game, you was all saying you wasn't bothered after the game but it certainly didn't feel like that in the game, it was a good hard tough game between two good sides, i personally thought the best team on the night won. we didn't have enough players on saturday to play because of work committments and injuries and we had at least 4 or 5 players missing ourselves last night too. we shouldn't even be playing at this time of year anyway, the season should be long finished.

good luck to irlam and spring view next season in division 2 and well done to spring view as they are worthy champions and have been by far the best team in the division all season. might see irlam boys in the valentine cup anyway????

Keep it friendly chaps. Local derbies generate a lot of passion i know, but let's be grown up about it. Game's done and the result won't change.

I think it'd be nice to see some sportsmanship, the langworthy lads seem to have it. And to say that nwc3 is ty is downright disrespectful in my book, take a close look at that sh11ty league table and have a look at it in comparison to others...I'm not sayin it has the greatest rugby sides in the world but it has some hard working honest sides in there that are travellin a long way week in and week out to get to the likes of Ulverston, Hindpool and Heysham, not to mention Higginshaw.......I think Irlam are a good side and will be challenging again next year however the divisions pan out, don't spoil yourselves eh with a few heat of the moment comments.

Seconded - but i wouldn't expect to see anything else from the man from Spring View.

cowies id give credit where its due, like i said langworthy played well but the referee was really poor against us.
id give langworthy more credit if they would have played on the saturday but they give the points away to stay fresh for us.
Langworthy have come a long way since we played them 2 years ago but to give the game away like that on saturday was pathetic !!!!

We didn't give the game away on purpose last saturday to stay fresh for irlam, we honestly didn't have enough players to play due to work committments, injuries etc.etc.
