Not a good game to watch conditions were awful. 0-0 for over an hour before our pressure finally told. Neither side were at full strength but credit to a young Langworthy side who never gave up and defended well throughout.

higgy 8 irlam 84, it was horrible conditions on top of that hill.we played some great rugby scored some cracking trys and our defence was brill.but all credit to the higgy lads they played most of 2nd half in our half of pitch.keep going lads you have a big pack and 2 cracking half backs .you will beat some good teams on your way.

Some more cracking games this weekend. Hows everyones pitches looking? Put plenty of rain down in Barrow this week with more forecast for Thursday and Friday. Wouldnt be totally surprised if the games at Ulverston and Hindpool were off

Langworthy v Higginshaw should definately be on unless it freezes up friday night...lucky to have 2 decent pitches and the 2nd pitch is actually better than the one at the clubhouse as it is quite firm even with the amount of rain we've had and all the water runs off down the hills at the bottom end of the pitch

langworthy and higgy will be a close call, two low teams looking to get some points !!!!

just gotta hope none of the skinny wingers get blown off! could imagine them landing in the Irwell (or worse, being blown ringht down to the prison) in this wind!

What's the weather like in south Lancashire? Any chance of any games being played?

Very cold and clear....my bet is we will get a frost overnight..forecast for the weekend is a bad one, everything is forecast but its changing daily, been dry for a couple of days though, 70/30 for them to be off imo, we are due at home v haresfinch.

When I phoned the local paper to tell them our game had been called off I was told Ulverston had played and lost 18-0 with only 13 players.

All the best to everyone, it should be an interesting 2nd half to the season. And as for the free drink that Ulverston missed out on Shed make sure you put it to one side and Shawy will find a home for it when we visit you.

Cracking game of rugby. We went into a 16.6 lead at half time only for Irlam to come back & lead 18.16 with 10 to go before we pulled back with a penalty. Both teams had chances to win at the end but I think a draw was a fair result.

Are amy of the current sides switching to summer next season? I know Heysham had a vote last night and voted to switch to summer at the end of the current season.
