I'll go with most of those, but will obviously back my own side against Wild Boars, and reckon Eccleston at home could turn Cuthberts over - they're tough to beat on their own patch and from what we saw of Cuthberts despite being beaten they can be pinned back and rendered ineffective for long spells, which is what Eccleston do well.

Have been told that we're waiting on a pitch inspection, is Chorleys pitch that bad?

Chorley v Bolton is off due to water logged pitches ... again.

Bury give us the game once again 3 times in two seasons they have done that it's e. was ok to play on thursday night then got a call last night saying its off. looks daft when people put on there site "Smash the placcy scoucers" try trying up first eh lads??

not saying they dont have lads working/injured but giving 3 out of 3 games is terrible espically when they have played all there fixtures this season.

Well I'm repeating myself again but it's just bad luck it's you lot. We were looking forward to testing ourselves against the division leaders and seemed ok to play Thursday and even most of Friday but we've so many lads who've had to take Saturday work it's killing us, plus a few ill & injured - and no offence but we're not a RL area, a small and inexperienced squad of 26-27 can't afford to have 8 working, 3 ill, 3 injured and 1 at his dad's funeral.

That little quote you've all been making so much of (that facebook interview was very entertaining) was made by that lad at the funeral, he's been missing for a few months looking after his dad who died last week. He's just keen to get back and gee the boys up and I'm sure you know how that feels.

I'm afraid lad's jobs have to come first - it p*sses me off as much as anyone but that's the priority for people these days, especially with Xmas coming up when work dries up.

sorry to hear about the lads dad first of all. it is fustrating though i understand your reasons that work comes first but i think 3 out of 3 games is abit more than unlucky dont you think? obviously were just really fustrated about missing another game against bury. anyway will look forward to coming up your place at end of season. going watching lions and cuthberts so atleast we getting some rl in.

Newton Storm 16-10 Crosfields

Another game i had to watch due to my crippled leg, managed to win but made hard work of it in the end.
we didnt play well today as a team but i suppose when u win and dont play too well its a sign things are moving forward. won 4 from 5 now, just wish we'd started the season better then we'd be higher in the league.

Hopefully back next week for our cup game v Cadishead!!

I personally think (as i have posted before) not turning up should have a bigger penalty. 18-0 is actually a good result away to the table leaders, we got beat 30-10 at st helens so youve done better than us up there, without making a tackle so whats the point in playing them with a weakened side?? just doesnt seem harsh enough. id dock you 4 points and a -40 score thatd stop people throwing games

i agree it should be more than 18-0 maybe a 50-0 would be more fair. if any teams turn up with say 11 lads there's no chance the score would finish at 18-0 it would be much higher. could prove quite costly if the season was decided on points difference.

Good win by the lions, well done to cuthies who played most of the game with 11 players.

Don't be a prick. People have to work. If you've the luxury of not having to work, well done you. When lads with families say to me, "sorry, I have to work Saturday", I'm not gonna stamp my feet and throw a strop. Guess what, work and families come before amateur RL.

Just funny as it is all ways the same team. & i can bet that chorleys kids will be playing on there pitch today. & i say this from a team that has got 10 injured players. were not playing at full strengh. but will never conceed a game.

Chorleys kids have not played on the home pitches today. Pitches closed . A quick look at our website would have confirmed this before dragging us into your petty arguments.

Was a good win for Newton, we got sucked into their game plan (smack off with anyone and everyone), when they got it back they didnt like it and ran their mouths off, but never came up with much else.

Also, with someone mentioning a few weeks ago a REALLY cheap shot which reulted in one of their lads being put in hospital with his eye from a wigan player punch, NUMBER 10 from Crosfields needs to be added to the cheap shot list.

The ref stopped play for a bit of messing about at the play the ball, number 10 was making his way back to the crosfields defensive line, but on his way, picked up a bit of speed while the ref wernt looking, and smacked our full back from behind. So one of their biggest lads decided to attack one of our smallest lads from behind. You F*cking Coward.

I wouldnt mind he was one of their better players too.

We had the same issues with Crosfields a few weeks ago with cheap shots, arguing with anyone that would listen including the ref

Why have you brought Bolton into your argument and why are you paying attention to him, clearly put the comments on to wind you up

Its just their tactics i think, there was an episode in the match where the ref gave a penalty for offside, and took them 30 meters back as they were back chatting eachtime and then he sin binned the lad.



But that cheap shot was pathetic, to come from behind when a lad isnt even looking or expecting it is just shocking. At lease go toe to toe with him.



Once he got a bit back in the tackles he didnt want to know either, just idle mouthy threats.
