Well they did us over good style today, crap performance by us we never got going at all! 6-4 at half-time then we let in a soft try from dummy half early in the second half. They got a couple of fortunate tries after that but they closed the game out well. We like to throw the ball about but without any regular training it just wasn't sticking, far too many handling errors. 22-4 it finished.



Looks wide open with the way results have gone today, everyone down to Bamber Bridge in the mix at the moment. We've lost 3 out of the last 4 in league and cup, dry weather team

We need to improve badly to stay at the top now, massive game next week.

Nice one oggy glad you men are sorted, although kind of wish you had folded we could have done with the free 2 points at the minute

gonna be interesting. wot a season its turnin out to be. cant say im shocked rhinos beat new springs. however i think new springs wil bounce back.

irlam are a tough lot.they have a really good pack.2 good props who never stop running,the 2 wingers ran like forwards,they got alot of kids though.they could have had alot more but kept dropping ball.our defence was great to.think they could win league.

Im shocked they beat you but can say it came as that much of a suprise there just a hard working tea that you have too ground it out against. We like to throw te ball about but on the tight pitch with there rush defence its hard. Ohhhh Irlam never played them we seem to have got our confidence back at the Lions

sorry ace face just think Higginshaw at home will win all their remaining fixtures. New springs wont falter like that again. Not seen Irlam but think you too wil be battling it out for 4th/5th but i wouldnt put money on it all 5 teams are capable of beating each over made it a very good league too play in this year

Im a Folly lane Player, we played Irlam In the Valentine Cup Final In september they pushed us close 22-20
to be honest they had the result but the ref disallowed their last minute try.
I reckon they will win div 4 this year as they have a pretty experienced young team.
They start slow but then prove to be a strong physical team with a young but very physical pack i agree with the point of there backline running like forwards their defence is also immense as they have 2 or 3 big hitters in the backs and forwards, they like to get penalty points on early in the game to get return possesion and keep the pressure on to you.
They have quite a bit of experience in there with some ex pros but they are the team to beat my moneys on them to go undefeated now till the end of the season

we played hornets saturday with best team we had out for years,and they battered us,best team we played this year.lets hope central are easier saturday,iwant to be able to walk on mondays not like today .

probably more physical quite a lot of players got it built up from nearly 3 months without a game could be a plus or a downfall. Were is your ground dont think i ever been

we are near maries on prescott road playing fields,we have agood little ground decent changing rooms.

I said earlier in the season that it was still wide open, and I was glad we had the gap at the time because we would get pegged back at some point. We need to turn our form around to stay up there now, a lot of good teams in contention. We've played every team apart from Bamber Bridge now and every game had been tough, and we know Bamber Bridge are a good side too having beaten Irlam this year. We're still confident against anyone in the league though, training hasn't been the greatest over the last month or so and we will improve now we're back into it.

yeah i think you men should win the league me. Out of everyone your the strongest team. Strong alll accross the park. Not a happy buunnyy today might not be playing rugby saturday started new job last night and was in hospital for 4 and half hours last night getting 7 stiches in me hand

Irlam are a very good side aswell oggy, don't think you've played them yet they will be tough, unbeaten since their first two games of the season and they will go joint top with us should they win their games in hand.

Turns out we are not playing at the weekend, as Higginshaw are in the National Cup against Hunslet Juniors.

thats probably abad thing for you men. Keep rusty until we play you again haha looks like im in for waterboy saturday dont know what its going take to get on the bloody pitch lol. And a lot of people saying that about Irlam will be a goodtest against them. We dont underestimate anybody in this league though every team is capable of beating each other and nobody who walks on a pitch is going to be a walkover. Every rugby player has something about them so you have respect that

we (Leigh central) beat Widnes today about 32-14 i think hard pitch made the game pretty scrappy probably our worst display of they year but a wins a win. Good runout for next week. New Springs at home im looking forward to it already

i didn,t play yesterday as i had to work,we lost 3 to injurys from irlam game and had 2 of us working but thats amateur rugby for you.the lads said you were decent team but not as good as new springs or irlam.

Tbh we still have a few injurys. And wasnt at our best yesterday we threw the ball about a bit too much and the ref didnt half penalise us (Most were are fault) we needed that run out New springs this week to say im excited would be a understatement. Read for a forward struyggle the pitch is going to be heavy

Oggy i agree with that other guy if irlam finish 4th i'll show my at town hall aswell! i watched the game last week against blackpool and the first 20mins of rugby they played was something premier side could only produce! i think there momentem will take them to the top spot at the end of the season! NSL are a good side aswell but only from wat i seen at the start of the season!

i only had them finishing 4th from what i have seen this year they are the only team we havent played yet. New Springs will take some beating at the top but we havent written our selfs off yet we havent played good rugby all year but we know we can turn it round

we just didnt turn up. one of our worst performances this season but credit to eccles, they played well.
