No, didn't see his face, he was behind him as he did it. The lad has been to Manchester Eye Hospital every day, he's on 7 different types of medication - there's a rip on the eyeball, which has caused it to fill with blood. He still has no vision and won't until the blood drains and bruising goes down - hopefully it should be ok eventually, they're still looking at it. When I took him off and looked at it the whole eye had glazed over and was dark red - couldn't see the iris or pupil at all.

Good luck against Bolton - they're a big set of lads!

They've got one lad called Hightower, and another they call 'Planet'. Gives you an idea of his, erm, girth.

Reckon Bolton should be too strong for Newton at home, though Newton have improved; Eccy should have too much for Chorley; I'll go for us over Crosfields; Rylands are looking very strong at the moment; Wild Boars should turn Bulldogs over and Cuthberts should have too much for Westhoughton.

Toughest one to call is the top one, think Bolton might just sneak it, but im sure the win would of given newton aload of confidence as they are better than the postion in the league suggests. Lions and Bury should win. After Tigers draw with Eccy, tigers confidence must be high as Eccy Lions is a hard place to go, so i think they might sneak a win. Hopefully the boars will continue the good start to the season and win, also think Cuthberts will have to much for westhoughton and will win comfortably.

Wont be any sibinnings for us (boars), we have calmed that right down now, i know were had a bad record with sinbinngs at the start of the season but discipline has improved alot latley and its staying that way. just think the problem for us at the start of the season was we wanted to be quick out the blocks and when things weren't going are way people were trying to hard which lead to daft mistakes and dosent help when you are given some useless refs.

Hope none of your guys were caught up in that incident at the weekend pal! One of our lads was in there and nearly got caught in the fight that started the whole thing, but had left by the time they came back in the car...

2 wins on the trot now and confidence high, game was tough as hell and some huge hits put in today from both sides. just managed to hang on in the last few seconds!! delightful.

was a mess.

no contact from Crosfields during teh week despite us calling them numerous times from Wednesday and leaving messages - so we didnt know whether the game was off or on (given that they'd conceded a few we wanted to check).

I had a few conversations on Friday with the league as some lads (quite rightly) wanted to work rather than risk there not being a game; the lads needed a decision one way or other and by mid-afternoon and having tried Crosfields via a few other routes, we edged towards it being off, and dealing with the consequences after. then we got the call from Crosfields later on Friday...so it became even more of a mess as we tried to get back in touch with lads and see what we had left with some now unavailable. will wait and see what the fall-out is...
