Well after going to our bogey team in confidence, we delivered! I didnt expect us to play that well in all honesty, but we did well apart from a spell in the first half and a short spell towards the end of the second half i thought we dominated the game. Defended well and dobbo ran the ball awesome!! McDonnell gets better all the time, will be a loss to the team, but Good game tonight GET IN!!

I like Craig Sandercock. I like Michael Dobson also. And all those other blokes. Glad to see Netherton out there, love a consummate pro, me. Possibly can't spell it, can't be bothered to check.

Great performance from the lads, Dobbo was superb, how that lad isn't the exiles HB is beyond me, far better than the show pony that is Chase.

Agree with comments re, Netherton. I'm not a Clinton basher but felt we got more all round tonight from Netherton than we get from Clinton. He was making yards and even made a break...nearly, probably doubled Clinton's tackle count.
Any thought on Hall staying at stand off and Green to centre or even full back...or am I just crazy?

Hall is doing really well filling in, but we look much better balanced with Green at 6, IMO.

could be an option to do a spell with green at 13 in a game though!

What was interesting last night and much easier to see from behind the sticks was how we seem to be finally getting our head around the defensive structures and patterns.

When the Giants were desperately moving the ball from side to side we actually had them covered fairly well for the most part and when we did effect a tackle usually had two or three men in pretty quickly.

I thought we were actually a little unfortunate to concede a couple of those trys and deserved to win by a wider margin.

Huddersfield were awful though in as much as we were good. Worst defensive display I've seen from a Huddersfield team against us since we've been in Super League. More or less every time we got within their forty metre area we scored in the second half. Strange goings on down at The 'Pharm.

We just need to wrap up the ball and stop the offloads next and we'll be slowly getting there

While we're on about areas to improve, I thought on a couple of occasions last night we tried risky offloads which didn't come off, when we were leading resonably comfortably, and the game was ours to loose, we didn't need to force it. However despite Hudds poor showing it was another week of steady improvement, both as a team and in the case of some individual performances. We seem to be playing with confidence and plenty of team spirit, long may it continue.

Enjoyed the Dobson show last night, no disrespect to the other 16 players as it was a fantastic performance by all. Hope we can string some more performances like that from now on.

Would love to see Green at 13 if it means Hall can operate down the middle, the thing is with Green he would slot in with no fuss what so ever.

Cos they are who they are they have the god given right just to say who
They want and expect players to jump when they say how high, irritates me it does, and also that were only interested in beating fc twice a year and nothing else geeks they are

I think certain people in wigan are either very arrogant or dont remember only afew seasons ago. "theres only 2 teams in it and they are light years above anyone else" was one comment.
Which suggests to me they are clueless on 2 factors;
1) Leeds are world champions and beat everyone including these 2 teams lightyears ahead.
2) They have very short memories when its a fact that Dobson pretty much saved there s from been a NL team, yet everyone else in the league is "e"

i was going to post the same thing everyone bigging them up has gone to there heads i cant believe how arrogant they are saying dobson looks good in a very poor side and hes not better than matty smith reminds me of the early 90s
