Not a surprise, if anything an even bigger thanks to Fisher, been with us from the 'beginning' and we wouldn't be were we are today without him! Its the end of a fairly good chapter in the history of HKR.

Omg think we should just cancel the game on Saturday there is no way we can say bye to all that is leaving this is gonna be one hell of an atmosphere now on Saturday,fisher has been great for us and will be sadly missed I hope he gets another super league club he can turn games when he comes on the pitch, good luck Ben.

Really gutted about losing Fish, has been exemplarary in all he's done for us and just hope if we are replacing that its with a top drawer replacement.
This is the one release I'm struggling to understand as I believe if we get Withers as has been rumoured then we are replacing like with like and would have probably kept Fisher instead.

Huge turn around of staff this year, reckon next year will be very transistional and hard work for the new boss.

Lastly a huge thank you to Ben, you've been great of all the leaving players you will be remembered fondly, another on of the promotion team now gone..

Yeah I can't understand why fisher Is going not done anything wrong and always a grafter bit bizarre but gotta trust the club on this one.

It depends, he's been a bit on the wane for me for the last couple of seasons, however he's still been very effective. It really does depend on who his replacement is, how much we pay them and how they go for us.

Sad to see another of the NL group go, down to two now.

Thanks Ben, you've been great and a really nice bloke off the field. Good luck in getting another club.

Many of us on here will recall Fish (along with Pat Weisner & Ben Black) tearing us a new one in Sept 2005 as Fax ended our play off campaign prematurely. I was over the moon with news of him signing for us, and never once has he let us down. I think his try in the play off game at the KC last season summed him up, a busy little player with an eye for a gap. He has his limitations, mainly due to his size, but he made up for it with heart & enthusiasm. I'm gutted he's leaving, but there really is no room for sentiment in these decisions.

All the best for the future Fish, I hope you can extend your top flight career for another couple of years, it would be good to see him come back to CP.

any news as to where he is going? he was linked with Leeds earlier in the season.

Hope he gets sum were decent he deserves it

more attacking kicks
more kicks in general play
less tackles missed
less pens given away
9 more tackles bust

Fisher has less errors and 19 more marker tackles.

Everything else is pretty even; Fish as played 4 more games aswell.

All in all id say its obvious why we would be going for Wither; as we dont have anyone that scoots and runs - Looks like thats what we need.

Fantastic performer for us since we signed him from halifax after he destroyed us in the playoffs.Gave 100% every game and fantastic workrate and smashing bloke.Will be missed and good luck to you for the future.Thanks.!

Smokey would be critical of Leeds, I'm sure. He's consistent, I'll say that for him. Consistently wrong, IMO, but there you go.
Got a strange respect for him - like those Japanese soldiers from WWII who were still turning up on Pacific islands in the 70s.

I presume they'll now announce withers? Much better player than fisher IMO
