Personally I take everything reported on the willie mason saga with a pinch of salt as I'm sure most of it starts on these message boards before finding its way into the papers  |

It is still (just) 2010 and we haven't had any new equivocation from the club or player since 'subject to obtaining a visa'. We gave him a squad number not long ago and he's said he's coming. There has clearly been some sort of delay, but until something 'real' is in the press or released by the club, we're fretting over nowt, IMO. I believe the paralells with the Crocker situation reflect our preoccupations rather than being obviously relevant. |

Even my 9 year old son finds searching the net for information simple so why couldnt you just have a little surf find the story i refered to and indeed agree that it existed and inform me of your opinion of there report instead. that was why i asked for an apology. I say until mason is here and lining up for rovers then anything is possible only a fool would think otherwise. This doesnt mean i dont think hes coming just would rather wait until hes here before i get too excited.  |

1) If Willie Mason was to get a Tongan passport, then this would not enable Rovers to sign another overseas player as Mason would still be classed as "overseas trained" - only overseas players signed before Feb 2008 who have European passports (i.e. Fisher, Vella, Galea, Newton & Lovegrove) are exempt from the quota so references otherwise are simply down to lazy and inaccurate journalism.
2) Just supposing Mason already has his visa, it would make more sense the Mason continues his pre-season preparation in a warmer climate where it will be more beneficial for him than training in these arctic conditions.
3) Then there's a logistics point of view of making travel arrangements when we have the goings on at Heathrow etc.
People need to chill and have more trust in our board who deliver time and time again.
I've every confidence Mason will be lining up against FC in Cardiff.
