People are obsessed with us keeping Tony for Briscoe. Sharps biggest error is keeping Sing for Briscoe. How can this man still be on our books, never been 100% fit. You only had ONE full season to suss it out MrSharp and you ballsd it up. Tony could slot almost anywhere covering for the likes of Sing and we could have kept Shaun at no.1. Ridiculous decision. Fair play to rovers for capitalising on our stupidity.

Sing was our top try scorer last season mate.
Yet again though we see some of the worlds best come to Hull and be dubbed rubbish by wannabe coach's. |

Tony isn't bad and infact he brings different things to the full back role which Briscoe didn't, the thing is we won't see them qualities till we have good halfs on the park.
Still I'd rather have Briscoe, prefer my FB's to be more safe and good support play. |

See your coming round with the FB pivot role mate 
Briscoe is a good FB, safe under the ball, good defense and support play. Where as Motu has them 3 plus more in attack so why would we want to keep Briscoe ?
And why do people think we'll be after a FB for next season  Tonys still under contract next season and will be our no1 again. |

Sharp made his decision no doubt based on his opinion of the relative of merits Motu Tony and Briscoe as well as the constraints of the salary cap.
I am more than happy that we have signed Briscoe.
Although there are positives to have players with the utility tag attached , sometimes having a player in a dedicated postion is the answer.

There was some stats shown on sky towards the end of last season with most yards/carries made by full backs returning the ball. Brisco was about 9th out of 12 and i think motu was high on the list 3rd maybe.
So they both have differen qualities and its unfair to compaire them as they are different style full backs. There is no doubt briscoe is a quality player tho and i dont think anyone is questioning that! |
