a mutual friend of mine and lee's reckons it was said in jest on a night out or summat that he'd be next in line at rovers after briscoe etc cos he's out of contract, and he came out with a silly 'throwaway' comment just having a laugh with the boys along the lines of 'gotta pay the bills somehow' which had been twisted into being signed sealed and gonna be delivered next season all from a nothing comment with his mates.

I would love our club to come out and say that but I don't think they will !!

FC's squad is designed to play closer to the ruck which is why I feel they chose to sign Berrigan and Hodgson who are predominantly runners out of dummy-half rather than distributors.

Rovers' play wider of the ruck with Fisher and Hodgson who are distributors rather than runners (I suppose Fisher is a bit of both).

Houghton is a very effective hooker but Hodgson looks to have a better RL brain and offers far more variation around the ruck which will means he will take longer to develop than a player who focuses on one area.

Horses for courses but in the long term (in the words of FMJ) "skills pay the bills" and Hodgson will eventually prove to be a more complete player than Houghton IMO.

According to today's HDM ( lets hope for once they are right) the dullers are hopeful about keeping Radford at the KC for another year. Please Mr Rule use your negotiating skill and Radford's ambition to play for Rovers and make him an offer he can't refuse.

Lets hope the HDM, via the alledged interest from Rovers, can ensure Lee Radford, like Sam Moa before him, gets a hefty increase in his salary

Doesn't say anything we didn't know, Radford is very good defensively, not a prop to set the world alight but very steady.

I think radford would be an excellent signing for rovers. Much better role model than some players and means you may actually have a chance come next "Mad Monday"

Radford is having talks with Rule today so a decision may be imminent.

The chances of Lee taking on his old team mates single handed are unlikely. He wont get any back up from the finger nail painter and his 'crew'
