Quite exciting, staying with Ms. Terrorists family in Cov, with that having some football the station's all kitted out with Olympic regalia, helpers, cars and media points.

Is it me being an old codger or does anyone else feel that the way the media etc are portraying and promoting the Olympics is a bit OTT? Imagine if the BBC gave a quarter of the coverage they give the Olympics to RL.

It is pretty massive.

It's not so much the quantity as the quality for me. There's not many sports I don't like, and I'll do a bit of research into them, main players, tactics, that sort of thing. It's not hard with internet.

But when you've got Lineker not even understanding that cycling tike trial is an individual event that's poor.

Former Port Macquarie rugby League junior (the home town of Danny Buderus and Scot Dureau) James Magnussen swims for gold and a world record in 100 metres freestyle tonight.

Apparently he was a very good winger or centre who could have gone all the way in League.

Yet if he sets a world record, he'll be wealthier than any RL player.

He really already has the world record. No one has swum faster than him without wearing the now banned floatation suits.

Brad Wiggins is offically Britain's most prolific Olympian. The guy is a legend. Gold and a TdF win, can't quite believe it. I will cycle home with renewed vigour tonight.

I also admire his dedication to trying to bring back pork-chop sideburns.

I thought I heard on the commentary for the Tour De France that he was born in Belgium to an English mother and father. Don't remember hearing anything about him being an Aussie

Just saw that his dad was born in Aus so he could be classed as an Aussie. Bit of a =#FF0000Edit-AS apparently though.

His father rode for both Australia and England - not sure where he was born - but it was a big story here when he died in a gutter as an alcoholic in the Hunter Valley.
