On Saturday it will be 6 weeks since Mason was announced, so his visa must be imminent (if not already approved). Maybe there'll be a joint "unveiling" so to speak in the next few days.

Blake Green was signed well before Mason and has only just got his approved. Be a good few weeks yet i feel.

Mason Signed and will have submitted the paperwork for a visa well after Blake Green. Blakes took more then 40 days and I suspect Mason will aswell. I think we'll hear something in 3 weeks.

Blake Green was reported in the national press as signing for Rovers on the 5th August 2010. Rovers announced Willie on the 4th September with the deal going through that morning. Now if both players submitted their visas the day after they'd signed for Rovers then we have a month to wait.

Assuming there were no hitches with Green's application. Still, looks like both will be here well before pre season starts in mid November. Time for a pre Xmas "wrestle on the drink" with O'Meley.

I hope O'Meley helps Mason to settle in. There should be extra spice to the derbies next year which will make them even more special. Assuming Mason does arrive, I'm confident that Rovers will be stronger next year than this. Hopefully Hull will be too because I like the idea of other clubs coming to Hull (FC or Rovers) and thinking "Well. we're not going to get much here are we?"

I don't think we can be anything but stronger. We've not got rid of anybody from this years starting 17 yet we've added a decent standoff a world class forward and another back. The standoff allows Murrell to play at 13 and Watts packing down again although he was used as a 3rd prop forward more then a specialised looseman.

Wigan's new trio announced today as having work visa's and they were signed well before Mason

Im drooling at the thought of seeing Hoffman in SL next season, been a big fan of his for years, Wigan will have an outstanding SR next season, dare I say, maybe even the best.

I would have loved to see Lockyer at Rovers but long term success only comes with continuity and I believe the club have a strict policy when it comes to bringing in overseas players and that is 2yr deals with a 3rd year option.

Time will tell how Green works out...

Life is short and chances few, Rovers may well never get the opportunity again to sign the best player in the world at any particular time.., indeed perhaps only Roger Millward in our history can even lay claim to anywhere near that title..would have been a slice of history for the club...and as Johns at Warrington showed, in just a few weeks, it can turn a club on its head..i strongly believe it would have been worth every penny, and it will be something Hudge and co will regret in years to come...
