EDIT; didn't realise he coached NZ in 2005 when they beat Aus 24-0 in the Tri nations final, Australias first loss in a series or tournament since 1978.

I've a mixed opinion, if we are being linked with Kear then I want Morgs to stay, if there's someone out there like McClennan that is happy to take the post then let him go.

Well to me it makes perfect sense: one of the most successful SL coaches of the last 10 years, + a Rovers legend who is trying to make a name for himself in coaching, and is one of the most exciting players we've had the last 20 years. IMO when you add all that together you get a rampaging side with a perfect blend of strength and flair.

Pretty much agree with that last suggestion and for what its worth i think thats just what Rovers will do, i also believe it will be another Aussie coach because love them or hate them they have proved over many years that they simply are the best overall, just look at the current super league table, all or at least most of the top teams are coached by an Aussie where as the bottom teams with the odd exception are run by coaches of English origin, the same applies for previous years.
The last English coach, unless i have forgoten someone, to have any real success was Brian Noble with Bradford, i dont know who is out there and available but if and when Morgan does vacate his position i believe it will go to someone from outside the UK and possibly with no previous Rovers club connections .

Hmm. Does the forming of the new team for next year (Galea staying, Briscoe going, Hodgson coming or at least targeted) mean that Justin is staying? He hardly has the energy or will to raise his eyes in a interview at the moment, never mind make a season-planning decision.

TBF Worm I was wondering that too - would be a bit daft these decisions being made if Morgan wasn't staying. A new coach coming in could be furious at Briscoe leaving for example. All very strange at the moment.

Barring an absolute slump of a run-in I reckon he'll get another year at least. I've been critical of Morgan this year, but in general he's done a good job here and deserves a chance to turn things around.

The club has had some harsh lessons this year on and off the pitch, be interesting to see if they've learned from them.
