As a Saints fan I was looking forward to seeing him play tonight. Whilst he didn't do anything wrong, he just doesn't seem to be playing with any fire in him at all. He looks in good shape, it's certainly not his conditioning that is a problem, he looked very athletic and lean. But tonight he just seemed to be going through the motions, which I found surprising as both Graham and Perry were making an extra effort to go after him when he got the ball. The Mason of old would have responded to that.

Perhaps playing in a team with confidence at an all time low has something to do with it

Mason was always bought to put bums on seats which hasn't worked. Rovers knew they had gone for someone way past his best when they signed him, they are now going to pay good money to see him only play a good game when he can be ar$ed (probably derby games).

How do you explain the fact that his first game in a rovers shirt was by far his best then? He's going backwards not forwards. I take no pleasure in saying that,i was genuinely one of the people who couldn't wait to see him rip into people and also see him take a bit back.

both Blake Green and Mason look poor to me. When Newton came he gave his all from the start. Having seen these two play i have a really bad feeling about both. Neither seem to be team players. They are cameo players do the odd brilliant thing then disapear. Players like this are no good to Rovers. It seems our choice of player was wrong we should of broke the bank and got Lockyer in.

They both looked freezing to me at 4am the other Monday morning stood outside Napoleons waiting for a taxi

I have passed Mason a few times out on the town already. Its not on i want this guy ripping off dressing room doors before he enters the field. If he is not up to that simply go into justins office hand your resignation in and lets find somebody who can rip of dressing room doors.

He can throw tanks around too.Only downside is, he is a horrible green colour.

Looks in good shape, plays with a smile on his face, obviously is a player that raises the team spirit when you see him chatting to his team mates during the game, he even had a bit of banter with the saints fans in the main stand (which, although I didn't quite catch it, seemed good hearted).
Problem was, he's spending most of his time stood in a very wide 2nd row position, which did not seem to make the most of him.

He'll settle down it's the worry of the lack of passport I should think.
