You speak as if there was a precedent at the time of the new application of rules which saw Eastwood, Carney, Bird and Crocker denied visas at the same time at 4 different clubs. I'm not claiming anything, I said I'm confident. Whether it's Rovers, Hull or another club you would think that after the failings last/this year they would want to know about any possible misdemeanours that might harm the signing.

When Mason is running out on to the pitch with a Rovers shirt on that is when I will truly believe he's our player.

Even when he runs on the pitch for us, Mrs B will still find some way to say his boots aren't rugby league standard, therefore shouldn't be allowed in the country.

Can you not celebrate that one of the biggest names in Rugby League will be playing in this city next year, instead of trying to dampen it all the time? Find you boring, repetitive and quite sad to be fair.

Hope Mason manages to remember everything he's done

Ive not had anything negative at all to say about Mason. In fact i'm pretty sure i said on the other Mason thread that he'd walk into any side in SL and is a fantastic signing for Rovers. Obviously he's going to wear the 'dads army' label that Fitz, O'Meley and Long were labelled with.

Not a bad label to have,I.M.O.,they are all mature players,but still excellent,so who cares?

Yeah. As ive said, Mason is a cracking signing and could be the type of player to take Rovers on another level. There's a risk when you invest more than 10% of your salary cap on one player but i'd say Mason is well worth the risk.

Rovers have not paid over the odds salary cap wise, its the extras i reckon that have also swayed him and of course that we are such a fabulous club with the best supporters lol......

With bonuses etc he will be on 10% of your salary cap. As i've said, its money well spent.

As you say, the famous Hull Kingsford Rovers is a big draw from across the world.

Oh dear.

You'd have to imagine announcing signings in May, June and the like because you are e is selling the fans short. However annoucing one of the biggest names in the game 45 minutes before you kick off your last regular season game having already confirmed you place in the play offs is of a slightly different nature
