As at the balance sheet date, Rovers owed amounts of £1.6m which were repayable within one year, and a further £0.8m which was due to be repaid after more than one year. Hence a total debt of £2.4m.

You can cherry-pick ratios and sub totals that suit you all day long. Rovers have total creditors/debt of £2.4m. This is exactly the same measure as we talk about at FC (and was screeched about by your chum Vicenzo for years on end), which, coincidentally was also £2.4m at its worst, but fortunately has now been reduced to £1.4m. The fact that your net current liabilities are £1.3m (ours are £0.5m BTW) is hardly something to get excited about

To put it simply easty, if you have a £100 grand mortgage but your house is worth £150 grand, you're still £100 grand in debt. Debt isn't cancelled out by assets.
